If you don't like that trade, you'd better come up with better arguments against it.;)

I am just proposing a better deal than the other poster's trade proposal. As I see it, it is much better to trade for Malone and Payton than to trade for Amare and Penny. Moreover, my trade works salary wise while the other trade proposal does not work.

Guys, all we need is a PURE PG to run stuff so that Steve will not have to fight his own personal nature every time he has a ball. It's simple:

Pick your favorite tradeable _pure_ PG

    Trade Mobley for him.

Steve has more freedom, ball moves better, we win. Done.

My fav's for this trade: T.J. Ford, Van Exel, Eric Snow

LOL. U mean we will become title CONTENDER or title WINNER? I guess it's more likely that we will become pretender for 2 years and then go back to lottery again.

I got one, how about it makes the Lakers a worse team. They'd never do it. Are they going to move Shaq to PF? Or just bring Yao off the bench?

Again LOL. I think lakers would do it in a heart beat. Then trade shaq for young talents or even expiring contracts and rebuild the team around kobe. Yao is much more capable to be a side kick of the team. Then what can they get from shaq? Assume it's not too much. lets say crawford, chandler and filler?

    crawford+kobe+george+chandler+yao
    vs.
    payton+francis+jj+malone+cato

Are u so damn SURE that this rockets can beat this lakers NOW? Not to mention in 3 or 5 years.

Hey this trade is WONDERFUL.....................................................if I were lakers fan.

    PG Payton
    SG SF / Cat
    SF JJ
    PF Malone
    C Cato

Hey by the way, if malone and payton agree with u that the lineup above can give us AT LEAST 1 championship, they would have joined us in the preseason already, w/o giving up yao. They want a ring and signed for min/mle only! Maybe, just maybe they are not so sure that the lineup can win a championship.

I wonder if this lineup can guarantee a playoff spot and u can guarantee a CHAMPIONSHIP??????

Look at the Suns record right now, why would we be better off?

I don't bash Yao - I point out his limitations.

People call SF an idiot, stupid, worthless, etc - that's bashing.

If I called Yao gutless or a pansey or a wimp, that would be bashing.

Either of them could be traded for all I care as long as the team gets better.

If we could trade SF for Kobe or TMac straight up, I would do it. I, unlike Yao only fans, am not so enamored with one player that I would not trade him for a better player. There are some posters on this board that probably wouldn't trade Yao for Jordan at his prime. And that is stupidity.

We would be better off because Amare fits better with our team right now and Penny, even with all his faults is a veteren with playoff and finals experience that knows how to settle a team down when being pressured or how to attack a zone defense.

What a dump trade! Yao never played high school or college in US with the physical games. He is still in the second year. We can see he is adjusting. What I told you, juugie, yao could not even dominate CBA in his first 4 years. Let us be patient and wait two more years... Any idea to trade Yao right now is stupid..
