[Unofficial 2017 World Series] Houston Astros vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

There has only been one world series in history in which it went Home, Away, Home, Away, Home, Home, Away. This was the 1975 WS where the Reds lost Game 6 and then won Game 7 on the road. Fun factoids.

It is quite obvious how this game will go. McCullers will light up the Dodgers for inning after inning. Especially notable will be McCullers' childish celebration after striking out Joc Pederson in the 3rd. Darvish will strike out Gurriel to end the 2nd inning, then he will mock Gurriel by putting on a sombrero and shaking some maracas in the dugout. After seeing a Twitter video of Darvish, the New York City media will call Darvish a racist, and Darvish will be suspended for 10 regular season games. Dave Roberts will pull Darvish in favor of Kershaw after only 3 innings. The Astros will hit 3 home runs against Kershaw to take a 5-2 lead, extending the all-time record for home runs given up by a pitcher in the postseason to 11. The Astros will hold onto the lead, even after Devenski gives up a 2-run home run to Justin Turner in the 8th inning, which will set up Keuchel to pitch the 9th inning. Keuchel will close out the game, and the Astros will win their first World Series. At the postgame press conference, Dave Roberts and the Dodgers players will blame the loss on Charlie Morton and the weird substance on his hat.

No matter what happens. Im so ****ing proud of this young team. Even the guys who have not performed up to what we expected or their own standards,

They have given me so much joy despite the feeling of wanting to vomit and poop myself.

It's been an unbelievable ride so regardless of what happens this was an extremely successful season but I just want this so bad for the players. They've been incredible.

 

On the other, this series reminds me a lot of the 1909 WS. Honus Wagner was a beast.

 

I don't have a good feeling about this, which Astros road bats show up today, hopefully we have a game 2 scenario where it becomes a free for all. Low scoring tight game will favor the Dodgers pitchers.

Even though Verlander was pitching, I didn't feel overly confident about game 6 for some reason. After our loss, I felt better last night about winning game 7 for some reason. Can't explain it.. LEGGOOOOO
