    why would miami ever do that trade? I know his average has dropped to 3.4ish but that has to do a lot with the blocking and everyone daring cutler to throw the ball. You don't find British running backs growing on trees.

    Ajayi is on the tail end of his rookie contract. He's going to want an extension this offseason. My guess is they're coming to grips with the fact they're in full on rebuild mode. They got Ajayi for a 5th rounder, got 2/3rds of his rookie contract out of him, and then flipped him for a 4th rounder. That's not bad return at all. Cutting Tannehill is financially feasible beginning next year. This team is in firesale mode.

    So why keep him. Lowest or 2nd lowest paid position depending on how you slice it (kickers/punters make more, but they almost all start), there's no value on RB's.
