Can Keuchel give us 1-2 innings? Regarding potential Game 7.

I'd prefer Peacock over Keuchel. Peacock has looked better this series.

Game 7 he'll for sure be available. He'll be used in lefty-heavy innings.

Peacock threw 3.2 incredibly important innings phenomenally. Aside from that, he has been very mediocre this postseason.

He is going to have to have the game if his life to win this.
Regardless, if im hinch i dont take him out under any circumstances until ar least the 7th inning.
If i di have to take him out i want devinski in there. He looks up for the challenge, chewing his bubblegum. Most of our relievers look terrified.

Seems like more than half the games played since the ALDS have been this.

More likely McCullers comes in to close being on 3 days rest. Then Morton starts Game 7 on 3 days rest if there is a Game 7. If we have a lead late and JV can't go then I think AJ will bring in McCullers. If we're behind then Lance probably is saved for Game 7.

Wouldn't you have said the same thing about Keuchel last night - "He is going to have to have the game of his life to win this" ?

Why does Verlander need the "game of his life"?

Too bad Devenski and his gum gave up 3 runs last night. Probably should have picked a different flavor.

Look, he gave up runs, but at some point you have to tip your hat to the batters. These guys are hitting everything. Still, devo did well as far as it goes, and he had good body language.

lol body language. i guess body language counts for a lot and wins games. is it the gum chewing or chin up that impresses you

If we're going by body language, then Gregerson has had great body language this post season. Regardless of what one thinks about Devenski, he was not good in the 9th last night regardless of his gum chewing or body language. He did NOT "do well" in the 9th. Walking the leadoff man with a 3 run lead is bad.

Both hits that Devo gave up that led to runs were really good pitches, the batters just win sometimes especially in a game like yesterday. I trust him the most out of the pen. He's got good stuff.

And @what, you forgot to mention why Verlander needs "the game of his life".

On both sides of the aisle, the pitching has been crushed. I agree, the hitters have taken over this series and ones measure of your pitching staff has to be altered.

It was a seemingly minor and inconsequential thing at the time, but Bregman hitting that home run off Jansen in game 4 turned out to be incredibly important.

In this series you could argue that lead-off walks are worse than lead-off HRs and I know why. Because these lineups are so deep that if you continue to allow the line-ups to turn and these amazing hitters more ABs you're gonna pay. I know it's not easy but our pitchers have to attack early in the inning and in the count to have the best chance of success.

Yeah. looking "tough", then pussyfooting around the lead-off batter with a 3 run lead does not make a good performance, other than trying too hard not to look like you are scared ****less.
