He has had 4 to learn...and still stinks at it....maybe he will never learn.

My point is that once his athleticism goes, he will be a below average player....so he is one injury away from being completely out of the league.

That's not what I'm talking about here. I was refering to the assertions that have been made in the past and are being made even now that the Rockets are oh so much better than teams like Phoenix, Utah, Denver, Memphis and Seattle. If that were true, then why are they consistently being beaten by teams labeled as inferior?

BTW, the Mavs have lost their best player (Nowitzki) to injury and that is a major reason for their recent tumble. As for New Orleans & Memphis, those teams are good solid hungry teams that play smart basketball which means they have the capacity to beat anyone on any given night.

Only one assist is rediculous for a all-star point guard...

This just cannot be the offense for the Rockets. It just can't be. I refuse to believe that all those screens are for show. Why do all of them hold the ball so long??? How many possessions did the shot clock almost run out on them tonight?? I want to see ball movement, I want to see cutters, I want to see the ball rotate around the perimeter without having to take one ******* dribble, I want to see some semblance of an offense!!!! Jeebus!!!!

How dumb is it? We are not in the race with Spurs! We are in the race with Warriors, Nuggets, Jazz, Grizz, Suns, Sonics. You want the good teams to win these teams so that your chance of getting into playoff is better. You always want a east team win a west team (except Rox), right? Why don't you want a top 4 west team win a team that is competing the 8th seed with us?

I am so disppointed that Spur lost. Nothing went in favor of us tonight.

In the 4th quarter there was little to no ball movement, there was little to no player movement.

I'm beginning to have serious doubts about Van Gundy's offensive coaching ability. The Rockets looked lost out there the whole 2nd half. Nobody moving, no spacing, then 2 people move to the same spot, picks set, the ball handler never brings the defender into the pick before he takes off.......with the defender still glued to him since he never made it to the pick, the pick player rolling into the lane right into the teeth of the defense, that hasn't budged because they never had to come help the guard who didn't get rubbed out on the pick. Dribble, Dribble, Dribble, Dribble, whooops shot clock at 2, throw up the off balance jumper from never never land. Nobody moving, standing around watching the dribbler just dribble and dribble and dribble and dribble and run into the double team, and then dribble out of the double team, and everybody watches, and then 3 players come out to halfcourt to help the double teamed guard get out of trouble. One of them sets a pick, the guard doesn't use it. 2 players spotting up at the 3 point line beside each other. Then they stop moving. I couldn't stand watching the Knicks play basketball. Horrible Horrible entertainment. It was punishment not entertainment. I'm starting to get that feeling watching these guys. Francis one of the 10 most talented players in the league, being shut down by a rookie. Ming being schooled by Jerome "Shaq" James. Doesn't make sense. You would think if they were just freelancing that they could do better than what they did tonight in the 4th quarter. Most everybody else couldn't hardly get open enough to receive a pass, much less get an open look at the basket. And Van Gundy standing on the sidelines with that forlorn stare as if to say, "what do I tell these guys to do next?"

I hate to say it but if this team keeps playing like South Knicks, I will quit watching. It gives me a headache. If Van Gundy can't figure out the offense, then I sure hope he brings an assistant coach that can help him with it similiar to Big Chief Triangle.

I don't know about that. I used to think that but I think he will be forced to use is mind more than his muscle. I think he will be a better leader when he loses his athleticism.

One other thing. Anybody listen to SF and Cat refer to themselves as being young. I am not saying they are old but I really believe that they are immature for their respective ages.

i agree completely, DavidS, i didn't have the guts to be so direct, i was trying to raise the issue without mentioning francis name, i thought this way, i wouldn't be accused of bashing francis and being a "yao-only fan"

We have already beaten both Nuggets and Warriors. Please have faith if you are a true Rockets fan. Negative thinking is not good for anybody's health.

Rockets will make playoff! GO ROCKETS!

Because these players have a history of losing. Call them the Clippers-South. I remember an announcer in an earlier game stating that if you were to tabulate the W-L record of each individual on the Rockets, only Yao in his one season has a winning cumulative record. I'd like to verify that, but I am far too lazy to research it that far back. These guys only know how to lose.

The loser's mentality that whatever can go wrong will go wrong is their biggest roadblock. Well, that and the fact that they don't know how to move without the ball, they never met an iso they did'nt like, they can't shoot straight, they can't make 3 passes in a row.... Nevermind :(
