Our bench pushed the lead to 10 before Harden ‘took over the game’.

 

I'm calling racism. They wanted their golden white boy Marc Gasol to shine.

That is every game with Memphis. EVERY GAME! Rockets need to man the hell up.

 

For as much as the refs sucked - and oh boy did they suck - we still could and should've won this game. I'm so pissed right now, damn

 

I usually don't get that worked up about regular season games, especially this early in the season. This one set me off... You've got moronic refs calling us for 31 fouls vs 21 for memphis, 23 fta vs 37... Yeah, BECAUSE WE ARE THE MORE PHYSICAL TEAM. RIGHT...

We get it NBA. Your beloved Warriors got off to a **** start and you needed to do something to **** over the Rockets for that opening night win. Well #77 did his job and then some. I realize if we made shots we still should have won, but that was absolutely ridiculous tonight.

Oh well, on to the next one.

why r people surprised? Harden is one of those guys whose game really suffers when matched up against disciplined, elite defense. Sure, that's what good defensive teams do to many players in general, but man Harden can look so mediocre sometimes when playing against teams with respectable interior & perimeter defense.

Because Harden can't outsmart the defense every single time (which is what his offense is based on), he cannot just roll them over with raw force like some great athletes (LeBron, Giannis, Westbrook, etc.) do, nor can he make three-point shots on a consistent basis regardless of pressure such as Curry.

And if your no.1 guy consistently underperforms against teams that play disciplined defense (exactly those teams one would expect to meet in the playoffs), well, you got a problem.

 

What the fck. They called a foul on chalmers or whatever his name. The called was clearly on him after he was kicking harden. You heard the whistle there. No way was the called on hardens pick. They can’t changed that after a review can they? The refs were clearly giving the grizzlies the game. That call on harden against chandler. He didn’t even touch him. All game we didn’t get any calls. They pushed nene or us in the paint, nothing. They did moving screens nothing. Wish we had kept it rolling. Fck thiose refs really specially the one that got in the way of the ball. Seriously he couldn’t be anymore obvious.
He was next to harden and knew he was gonna pass it to ego.
He should get fire or bench or fine. Something.
But I hate harden when he quits. Right after that offensive “bs” call on him. He disappeared.

 

Screw that what dude and his idiotic takes that the Jazz are the best team in the league and his memphis pole riding.

You say this as if the Rockets have chopped liver on the team.

We lost one game, it's fine.

 

Not even really all that upset.

My take away from the game is that the Rockets are the superior team.

The Grizz needed a lot of things to go there way to win and it happened tonight.

MDA did a poor job coaching, not calling timeouts and letting Anderson guard Gasol. His substitutions were bad.

The Rockets shot so poorly from 3 that the spacing was terrible and Harden had little room to operate.

The Grizzlies went to the line a ridiculous amount AND got virtually all the close calls and fluke plays.

With all of that it was a 4 point lead for the Grizzlies.

Obviously you want to win these types of games but there will be a handful of games like this one.

discipline. Grizzlies always get away w a lot of moving screens and no call fouls. Not only this year. Last year n before. Refs prob don’t call all those fouls coz it will make the game slowler and people will be crying about all those fouls.
Yes harden does get affected by the good defense and also when he doesn’t get fouls calls on his favor that are obvious. Is like he stops playing and quits.
