Boki did not get a minute of playing time last game while he would have been the best defensive matchup with AK47. Also, we had foul trouble all around, poor shooting, and jj was not hot, so I think that if under all these circumstances boki can't get in the game, then what will happen in other games and after A. Griffin comes back?

With Piatkowski back he probably shouldn't get any minutes. Even less when A. Griffin returns. He makes too many mistakes and doesn't offer enough pluses.

Was there ever a beginning for Boki?

You have got to be kidding me about the too many mistakes and not enough pluses comment. What are you watching?

Boki was a very solid all-around contributor in the minutes he has received this year. He deserves some playing time without a doubt, maybe not with our disfunctional squad.

He deserves playing time over who; JJ, Rike or A.Griff (when he returns)? You're telling us he's a better option than one of these guys?

Pike is a 2-guard with height. Griffin I have no clue about really except for his D. Boki deserves at least some of the back-up Small Forward minutes behind Jim Jackson.

What has changed since last week besides another shooter being activated on this squad? Boki was in during the final seconds as a defensive presence in one game and providing some productive minutes, and now he gets 0 minutes.

I totally agree with you. The minutes Boki has been in the games, he has been playing solid D, passing, and shooting the the threes well. The guy just hustles. I dunno if some people actually watch the games. Boki should have gotten minutes since Jackson was struggling a little bit.

I think boki has improved quite a bit. He deserves some minutes.

Boki has played decently and I give him credit for improving but his minutes will be drastically cut with Pike and A-Griff back in the fold. Does he have a future with the team? JVG is not emotionally attached to any of these guys, so, we shall see.

I am surprised that he didn't play at all, though, unless....no. No. Nope, won't say it.

When the Rockets can't buy a shot he ought to be in the game like last night for example. Hes been lights out for the majority of the season. I would like to see Pike, Bostjan, and JJ on the court when the Rockets cant hit a shot. Go inside to Yao and find the open man. I think it would be very effective whenever the rockets are desparate for offense. Which seems to be the norm this season. :(

I don't think it's the end for Boki...

We have Mobley, Jackson, Piatkowski, Griffin, Padgett, and Nachbar. There are 96 minutes. Mobley will always play at least 36 minutes. 60 minutes for the rest of the guys. I think playing time will depend on the matchups and who's sucking or who is feeling it and who's injured and all that. It's nice to have so much depth. Piatkowski and Jackson should split the remaining 60 minutes..but everybody needs to play! I guess they'll be good practice guys and cheerleaders along with Moochie.

i think Boki has a pretty good game, but i think he'll be too low on the depth chart to get minutes. i think the time at the 3 will be divided amongst JJ, AG, and Pike. Even if it was just JJ and AG, that still leaves Boki in a bad position. One thing he does have going for him though, is the time AG will need to get back into playing shape. JVG will likely work AG in a bit slowly, but I think that JVG likes the type of player AG is.

Maybe Padgette got the minutes because he was signed from the Jazz? Maybe he was familiar with the teams habits? Possible, eh? ;)

There would be plenty of minutes for him if we traded Mobley for a PG.

I don't get what the big deal about Boki is, it's not like he's a Ginobli or anything. He'll only ever be a benchwarmer

In my opinion for what it's worth (1 cent), I think Boki should be starting, with Jimmy Jackson or Piatkowski starting at the 2, probably JJ. Bring Mobley and either JJ or Pike off the bench (probably Pike) to spell the starters and let Mobley operate on the opposing team's second unit. I don't understand why Boki didn't get any minutes against Utah. I think less of Mobley and Steve together is the best thing. Boki sure seems at his best when he is in with Yao. He does know how to get the ball in the post and spot up. He consistently looks for Yao FIRST and plays off him.

I don't even think Boki deserves a spot on the bench. He plays terrible defense. His shot is off way more than it's on. He turns the ball over too much. Oh, and did I mention he can't play defense. He will get exactly the same minutes as last year as soon as Adrian Griffin starts playing. Garbage minutes only. I can't believe we wasted a 1st round pick on him. No other in the team that drafted ahead of us expressed any serious interest in Boki.

Boki plays well. He is improving on defence and he know how to play the game.
He pass the ball well too. His 3 pointer is about 50% which I think is good.

Did I said he can pass?

Totally agree with you, he doesnt offer anything to the team, we can get everything he offers and more from Pike, Jackson or Griffin. I say we use him as leverage in a trade, do you think that he would be a fair trade for Kobe?? ;)
