wonder if the strike zone is going to be mysteriously moved up for this game too.

This was the mistake. I guess up 4-1, Hinch didnt think we needed him. Who would have thought none of Devo/Musgrove/Giles could get a stop?

Now its a three game series with two of them in Houston and DK & JV both available.

Keuchel and Verlander better both be ready to pitch complete games, because after the game 4 meltdown of the bullpen, Hinch is going to be terrified at the prospect of handing over the ball to any of those guys again any time soon.

He does have all the usual starters... Peacock, McHugh, Morton will probably be used out of the bullpen if needed.

I've been telling people this from the beginning. Forget about the records the Stros are the underdog. My friend, who is a Boston fan, kept on saying it would be a great story for the Astros to win for the city of Houston. MLB doesn't care about that. The Yankees are the most storied franchise and it will be great marketing to having the young upstart Yankees facing their ancient rivals the Dodgers.

We very well might need a complete game from Keuchel today.

Agreed but that has nothing to do with expecting professionals pitchers to get an out.

The 6 starters should be the ONLY guys pitching the remainder of the postseason -- Keuchel, JV, Peacock, McHugh, Morton, Lance

If there's truly a ball-strike call discrepancy, we should LET THE WORLD KNOW. Hinch hasn't said a damn thing during games or afterwards.

    Bunch of choking pansies

If we lose today with Keuchel, we are done. If we win....we will be in the WS.

Astros just released some tickets for Game 6 and a potential Game 7. Better hurry if you want some though.

I think the problem is that guys think they have to do something special because they are in the ALCS. No. They need to do what they did in the regular season. Be patient at the plate. Quit thinking they have to do something heroic. Stay within their capabilities. Quit trying to make something happen. Let the game come to them. Take what the opponent is giving you. Relax.

After 1 game of that, people will be clamoring for the bullpen and asking why the hell we aren't running Devo/Musgrove/Giles out there.

Yep. I really believe whoever wins today wins the series. So better be the good guys. Here is an idea. Unpack the bats and put them in the dugout and actually use them today. Don’t need treat Tanaka like the second coming of Kevin Brown.
