    Very kewl observation, however, I don't think 2006 will be that big of a deal if the Rox don't become an upper echelon team.

    Look at it from this point of view:

    This is JVG first year with a team that has had several chances, with it's current "core players," to get to the next level. If we don't improve dramatically with the next couple of years, there will be trades. It is rare that a core of players has been together this long while not even making it to the playoffs.

    From an optmistic view, if we are together that long with most of the players you have listed, that means between 2003 - 2006 we must have done something to stay together, like win championships. And well then, we could sign/tradeanyone we wanted.

    In any regard, anything short of a championships, expect this team to look a lot different by 2004 or 2005 season. That's just the way it is.

    Actually, I think you're thinking more around the middle of 2007.

    This would be based on everything from;
    biblical prophets
    the Myans
    the Aztecs
    the Incas
    and who ever really built the Pyramids

    Who, according to studies by several archielogist, all point to around August 2007 as a major earth altering event.

    Just thought I have a little fun with this.....:D

    That means the Rockets have four years to win a championship. They win the championship in 2007, and the earth gets destroyed, and the Rockets will forever be the uncontested, defending champion. Hurry up CD, spend all your money while we still have time.

    If you take the birthdates of any six players and multiply it by 289 and divide it by 2 and add 3, it comes out to . . . 2006.

    Scary stuff, people.

    We better sign Amaechi to a long term contract before we lose him. He's the best bench warmer in the NBA.

    I have to respectfully disagree, we failed to resign the best bench warmer in the NBA in Jason Collier. We have to remember, he not only knew how to ride the pine, but he did his part in winning about it, although he had no chance in getting playin time, keep the vets on their toes.:D :D :D
