WHAT A F!CKINGGG WINNNNNN!!! We just beat what I consider is the greatest team put together in NBA history, on their opening night, on the road etc !!!!!! BTW notice how the media is going to give zero credit to houston they're just like yeah the warriors weren't even trying tonight yeah right I still don't believe that our roster is complete that's the best part, I know cp3 Is out here recruiting some more players to the rockets, F!#^ THAT WAS AMAZING
What I liked about this game, other than the obvious W, is that our guys kept on fighting no matter the score. No doubt in my mind this team is better, offensively and defensively, than last year's team that won 56 games. Key additions of two-way players are exactly what was needed to become a true contender.
I ran the numbers on our performance so far and they are even more impressive than I expected. After my detailed statistical analysis, I was able to conclude that the Rockets were able to win 100% of their games, while holding the Warriors to a 0% winning percentage. I dare any of you charlatans to challenge my analysis. Although my graphs have been exclusively behind paywalls for various international publications for the last several years, I am making this one available to the general public in a rare breach of protocol. It has already been peer reviewed. Enjoy, charlatans.
What a game, was going nuts inside watching the second half, and we came back, but there were some non calls, like Mbah a Moute clearly getting fouled, and MDA was pissed, as was I. Good win, now onto Sacramento.
Exactly this. Green is literally untouchable by refs. It completely changes the flow of the game when he isn't in because the warriors can't get away with intentionally injuring other players. The good news is that it's extremely evident how much the GSW defense relies on green being completely ignored by the refs. Perhaps we can use it to our advantage down the line.
With all due respect brother, we fans really should STOP making excuses nor justifying a case for winning or losing. Green getting hurt? Part of the game. Refs whatever? part of the game. Paul not 100%? part of the game. Rockets are better and more versatile this year with the new additions and they won a hard fought game on the road in Oakland. I don't care if it's "Warrior's ring ceremony hangover" or whatever. It doesn't matter. These are professionals and last I checked, it's not like the Warriors just treated it like a preseason game and weren't trying against the Rockets. Great teams "create their luck". Warriors were red hot from the get go...but that's really not stranger to their style of play anyway...that's what makes them a historic team. The Rockets stuck with it and climbed back from multiple double digit leads throughout the game and won it in the end with smart Defense and poise (granted the additions of Luc, PJ and Paul made that possible). Sorry, but I'm just tired of reading people post on here "well Green and Iggy were out" or "But but.....Paul is still getting acclimated and etc". None of these matter. They come off as apologetic or detracting from the integrity of the game that was played. Rockets were the better team last night. They won. Can the Rockets beat the Warriors in the playoffs 4 times? They will have to if they have champ aspirations. But I will take the Rockets' players and effort last night in a 7 game series against ANYBODY and roll with it. Give the Rockets ALL the credit. They took some punches and didn't wither in a hostile emotional environment against a super team. Great win Rockets! David
GSW played great, with energy. Nick Young and Klay Thomson were in the zone, they looked possessed, and Rockets with injured Cp3 (out of shots) still won on their territory. That's amazing comeback and victory. GSW's arrogance has been punished and I am very happy of that. From now on they will be shaking every time they will play against Houston Rockets. This victory is the victory of the will and may have big impact on both teams from bigger perspective.
I'm a die hard fan brother, but I don't think I'd go that far and make that statement.......YET. It's still just one game and a regular season one at that. Rockets can certainly build off of this win into greater things for the season of course.
I love this team. I love PJ Tucker. I love Luc Richard. I love CP3. I love how we have a team of high character people that work hard and carry themselves with dignity, while at the same time being cold blooded killers. I can't even begin to explain how freaking excited I am for this year.
guys, if you've been a rockets fan as long as i have... you know the rockets have a habit of losing to teams they shouldn't lose to... We really turned the corner if we beat Sacrament today
I think the Astros game wore me out. I fell asleep at the end of the 3rd. Woke up to a great box score and highlights at 6 am. Last year I was able to stay up for almost all of the late starts. I need to get back in form.
