Now I must cheer for the rockets even though I know they don’t have a chance against the warriors

Thankfully I can't remember all of the heart breaking losses but man that was a kick in the d*** for me. It was up there with the oilers game that shall not be named.

Only saving grace is this *only* ties the series up. The way we are playing doesn't give me encouragement.

Also worth considering, given we have the 3rd catcher on the roster, why we didn't try and make more happen when McCann reached in the error. Pinch run with Maybin, the threat of him stealing could adjust the way they pitch to Springer and who knows, we could add a 5th run and it's a different story.

We don’t know what would have happened if Hinch had left Lance in, but we do know he was dealing and gave up a HR after a get me over breaking ball to Judge. Hinch has had a quick hook in playoffs, but I think Lance at least deserved one more batter to prove he still had things under control. Oh, well.

Offense has been lethargic and not impressive. Correa has been terrible in NY, which I did not expect. I still have a sliver of hope with DK and Verlander, but if this offense doesn’t remove their heads from their collective arses I don’t think it will make a difference.

This would hurt if it weren't so damn familiar. What is it about Houston sports teams and routine heartbreak?

alright, it sucks we lost but geez guys the series isn't over!

also, no it doesn't suck to be a houston sports fan. chill with the woe is me and i'm feeling sorry for myself posts.

washington dc, buffalo, sacramento, cleveland (lebron got them one recently but that's over IMO), minnesota, detroit, phoenix, indiana, memphis

someone tell me how its easier to be a sports fan of any of those other cities rather than houston?

The reality is, most cities don't win for long periods of time until they do. Houston isn't special in that regard

I agree that our ace pitchers shouldn't be counted to go extra innings, but also remember this offense is too good to be in such a slump over a 6-7 games series.

The bats will show up. Each team has only defended home turf so far.

Now, we get a pivotal game 5. If we can steal one tomorrow, then Verlander will surely close out the series at home in game 6.

All of this started in my opinion when Hinch pulled McCullers after one mistake pitch and the HR. He was still dealing and you let him face another person before changing it up. Everything went downhill from there. Everyone wants to face our bullpen because it is trash.

We needed this win because Tanaka is tough at home and we barely hit him in Houston. This will really put us in a real bad spot to going back to Houston down. The momentum has shifted and we look scared and are making mistakes.

you know what, I'm just going to go have rough sex with my gf. Take that hinch!

My sincerest apologies, LanceMc. You pitched a gem.
With baseball being the purest butterfly effect sport, taking him out changed everything. No second guessing.

Giles was put in a difficult spot so no shade there.

I have been telling everyone about the hitting since game 2. All their runs today were lucky runs that the Yankees gave them. Everyone says dallas keuchel pitching will make us win. What he will come in and hit also to add to 3 hit total?

Those cities haven't had 20+ years of favored teams that meltdown in increasingly creative and heartbreaking ways. They just suck. It's not fun, but it is different. Expectations are the root of heartbreak.

Exactly...yeah we got the lead but we can’t hit so they knew we weren’t getting more runs and our pitchers can’t seem to get judge out anymore so we in trouble.
