    too bad.
Maybeee because he was a high pick someone will give him another chance as a backup but things look bleak and more likely he ends up in Europe in 2 years.

Tough break. Maybe he'll get lucky and end up playing 20 years like Shaun Livingston

Why are some players just so injury prone like this... and to all different parts of their body too.

Is it genetics or just bad luck?

Bad luck.. being a 1st round pick with a guaranteed contract means he will be back.

Both. There's a training (volume, etc) mismanagement issue somewhere. Sometimes athletes are put through programs that others have done and are expected to have the same results. Even with the same build, training mileage, etc., no two athletes will respond the same to the same program.

Hopefully just two freak injuries. Exum already had a long way to go, but if his ligaments are bad that doesn't bode well at all for his future.
