When Paul was in LA & NO, what I saw him giving 110% effort on half-court offense at all times. Probing, attacking, retreating-attacking-again, dribbling, maintaining the pace.

What I see from him in THIS offense is something completely different. It's as if the game is moving in slow motion for him, he sits and waits for the defense to make a mistake, then he makes a quick & precise chess move decision to gain the advantage. The burden of attacking the defense is no longer on his shoulders. Now it looks like he's giving about 30% effort on offense, expending very little energy.

I think you'll see that stored energy turn into something special defensively. If healthy, this could be his best year defensively in some time.

CP3 plays like he's 7'5. I had to check his stats, height and weight. He is huge defensively for us.

i think our all time defensive team would be:

    yao-deke-sampson
    hakeem-hayes-thorpe
    battier-pippen-ariza
    mobley-artest-ellie
    paul-pat-lowry

Hakeem at the 4? Even when Samspson and Dream played together, Hakeem played the 5. I would also put Horry ahead of Battier at the 3. Horry was more Mr. Intangible than then Mr. Intangible himself. There is a reason Horry won 7 rings.on 3 different teams other than his clutch 3 point shooting. Horry always knew where to be and during his Rocket's career had crazy block games. At the 2, I would put Drexler ahead of Mobley even though Mobley is one of my favorite players.

Sorry but Vernon Maxwel is the second best defender.

Chris Paul would get 8 second violations if mad max was on him. He would spit him up.

Don't even make me bring up rodrick Rhodes.
