It's undeniable that Chris Paul is a flopper and that he whines at officials too much.

However, has anyone else noticed a major change in his coverage since he left Clipperland? He was an icon of the league with the Clippers, treated with kids gloves by the media. I used to get annoyed that the media ignored his flopping and was confused why people like Barkley and the like always considered the Clippers contenders.

Yet now, articles are coming out left and right that bash him, even if without mentioning his name. "The Clippers are finally free." "The Clippers are going to be fun at last." "There will finally be ball movement." "Clippers can shake their identity as floppers." Where was all this shade before this season? Heck even Max Kellerman and Stephen A said that Chris Paul needed to prove to great players that he could have fun for them to want to come play with him!

The point isn't whether they are right or wrong, the question is whether or not him leaving LA has granted freedom to the MEDIA to bash him.

Sorry not buying this yet. I feel like we got a lot of coverage. I mean rockets are ranked 2nd in the league from the media. I'll start to believe it as the season goes on.

But yes rockets are hated for some reason.

The media is saying all that because he isn’t in LA anymore. The media is bias, they prefer the flashy or big markets like LA or Golden State.

I remember when we had Yao the refs or media had no respect for him or Houston. If Yao had stayed healthy we could have won at least one chip. We were the only ones that took the lakers to 7 games. I forgot the year. No one mention us. Same thing as always.

They bash Morey for trying to get talented players to Houston. They criticize every trade we make or signing. Like Jlin or Dwight. When we lost Parsons coz we let him hit unrestricted free agency they said we made a bad move. When we had Dwight everyone was against him because he left LA to go to Houston. But if it had been the other way they would have loved it.

Even after being wrong so many times even when we went to the conference finals they never give any credit. That’s why I like Jeff van gundy. Only one in the media or national tv that mentions us.

Now that Chris is here, they can hate on him. They can critize everything about him. Just like they do with harden and his so call flops. He gets more no call fouls than he gets fouls for flopping. If u look at curry he gets so many calls even ones that are clearly not fouls. He flares his hands and no one calls him a flopper. The warriors make so many moving screens yet refs don’t call them. And don’t forget Blake griffin, Austin rivers and doc. They are even more whinny than Chris and Blake flops all the time too.

I hope we shut their mouths and we get a championship this year. Or at least we get 1 or 2 seed. Na I hope we just win and shut them up.

I hate it coz I live in LA so I hear all the trash talk but all the praise for LA or Golden State. It’s annoying

Don't listen to the others. smdh was popularized by men of discriminating taste as an counter to "Would hit" and "I'd do her". If you'd prefer to pass when other more desperate guys might confess to "would hit", you type, smdh

    Someone Might Do Her

Like this classic example from cfnet history:

I really haven't heard that much negative press yet. But I agree that after a while, Paul's flopping will get called more, now that he isn't playing across the street from a major bspn studio.

Chris wanted out of LA because he was no longer the best PG in LA. He ran to Houston like the little baby that he is.
