ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Thunder 10/3/2017 (Preseason Game 1)

I used to do streams from Reddit last season, but those YouTube links get taken down mid-game pretty often and some of the streams on those random sites were too low quality

 

I don't get root. I get NBA LP. I should have bought international and used a vpn Now I have to either go out or stream a crummy version.

Woe is me.

 

Rockets holding out Nene because.....well....."They WANT to" lol. You just don't see the direct and candid reasoning ala "Because I can" very often in Team social media messages.

 

With the regular season opening in just two weeks, Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said he will play his regulars more than he normally would in a preseason opener tonight against the Thunder, if not quite their customary regular-season playing time.

"I don't know if I want to do that," D'Antoni said. "I'm going to play them. They'll post 30.

"It's like mid-preseason. We got to be ready obviously in two weeks. We're not the same team as last year. There's a lot of things we have to look at, a lot of combinations, try to get a better fit. You can watch tape of yourself, but it's a little different when you watch tape with somebody else and try to figure it out. We use this primarily as getting a good film session, tomorrow understand what we need to do better."


The Rockets will hold out veteran center Nene as part of their plan to limit his workload. His backup, Tarik Black, is out with soreness in his left knee.

 

The Rockets might have moved past the summer of speculation that Carmelo Anthony would join them, but the way that worked out will be most evident when they face Anthony and the Thunder tonight. Still, if they were surprised, that feeling has wore off.

"I don't know, man. I don't know," Rockets guard Chris Paul said. "He is where he is now. He's happy. I know that."

I'm also curious to see what Zhou Qi can do. Summer League action was nice but now he's practiced with the starters I'm curious to see how he's grown. His length and shot range can prove to be useful!

Geeez I have dish and I don't see root sports on guide does anyone know what channel the game is on of they have dish

 

I have DISH too, and DISH doesn't carry ROOT sports (know called AT&T Sportsnet)

it's on NBA TV, but it'll probably be blacked out

you're gonna have to find an online stream

I just don't get why NBA TV doesn't have a stream for TV or LP subscribers.

 

I don't care if it's preseason...I want a blowout..I can't stand the Thunder!!
