I don't know if anyone saw it, but last game against portland, after mobley got fouled or he fouled someone, I don't remember exactly, mobley was on the court sitting, yao tried giving him a hand up, and mobley slaped yao's hand away, maybe its nothing, but i've never seen a player do that to a teamate.
Who cares if they like each other??? Personally, I don't care if Cat hates Yao's guts. For all the negativity about cat, I think he has made improvements with his shot selection this year. In the long run maybe we will be better off with Cat gone or on the bench, but for right now we are in 1st place in the division, and people are still griping over something that doesn't really matter.
i saw it too. Yao reached out to give him a hand and he just blatantly slapped it away and kept running up the court.
That sounds unbelievable. I am surprised that if this happened, people did not start a thread about that?!
Let's be real about the situation. We lookign at it like it's just a playground or high school basketball team. The reality is that this is how these guys earn their living, by playing basketball, if someone challenged your role at work and everyone is indicating that its time for you to step down for another person, would you be all gosh darn happy about it? Maybe Cat doesn't liek yao, maybe he's just a biotch, we don't know that do we? But if it's something that's screwing up team chemistry, I'm sure JVG will do something and bench Cat if he feels its a problem. He isn't Rudy and doesnt have a close enough relationship with Cat to see him with rose colored glasses. But as far as I can see, Cat is still starting and playing significant minutes. Maybe it's cuz we dont have a better option, but who cares, right now Cat is the best the Rox have. If his positives start to realy overwhelm his negatives, then I trust the coaching staff will do something about it. For now, who cares if he likes Yao or not, you can't expect everyone to like the man. As long as the coaching staff doesnt think it warrants a benching of some kind, I wouldn't worry about it.
I know many wont like my take on the situation but here goes. Mobley isnt the problem, he is only a pawn in the power game of Steve Franchise, as is Moochie. If and I consider it a big if, Steve Francis and JVG arrive on the same page physically and spiritually all will resove itself over night. In the last game I thaught that there was something realy disturbing Steve because he doesn't play that bad even on his off nights,he's just too good and Mobleys shooting, throwing up bricks and silly tactical errors, just too much to accept as natural. Was there a game being played within the game of Basketball? Only JVG knows for sure.
This is the wierdest thing I've ever seen you post. Ok, I get it now. Ugh. Dump Mobley now, trade Francis next year. Simple.
Uh, yeah, great take. Do you watch the games that you claim to? Because Mobley shot 7-13 last friday. Yeah, bricks, he nearly missed half of his shots! Was your boy Yao in on the plot too? because he wasn't much better and shot a pedestrian 7-12. Please get back to me asap with an explanation and/or any additional pearls of wisdom you may have uncovered.
Is it at all possible that he slapped his hand because he was pissed, and not because he hates Yao? Why does he go and jump into his arms after a big play sometimes? Jeez, the Mobley hatas are out in full force this season.
Holy crap Yetti, you just absolutely HATE Steve Francis. Only your twisted mind could believe that he tried to prove a point to JVG by tanking this game. You are basically saying that he'd risk this season just to be the "man" on this team. Defend your idiotic position!
Just use your mind and a little imagination and you might get the point of my post. By your reaction you wont even play the open mind game. This was not to critizse our Guards but to drum up a reason for their play in the Portland Game.
But Oski have you just realise it? That has been my position for a long time. Although I hope that JVG can bring Francis arround to his way of thinking.[This post was presented especially for you and Sam Fisher]
I saw it , i saw something similar happened once last season. I have no doubt that Yao won't resign with Rockets.
Roger, so you acknowledge that you absolutely hate Steve Francis and show it all the time but your trying "to keep the BBS clean and free from hatred." Cool, we need more Rockets fans like you.
It's sickening how the Yao-lovers feel he can do no wrong and Mobley/Francis are everything that is wrong with the Rockets. All three players have bad habits that they need to overcome. No one player on this team can be faulted.
Sad to say but i dont see Cat getting traded, he dosnt make much and he is a really good asset i wouldnt wana trade him even though i dont really like him. That said, theres only 1 way to make him better as well as the team & that is to make him the 6th man. Give him around 25 - 30 min on the court BUT coming of the bench, im telling you he will tear some teams up. It will solve all our problems, IMO
