I looked, but didn't find this in someone else's post.

My apologies if this was already posted.

Cuttino answer a few fan questions. Most are lame but some are interesting.

Q: Do you think the fan support and loudness is a big contributing factor towards being successful on your home court? Do you as a player appreciate a more active and loud crowd cheering for you?
    Todd Knauss

Mobley: Definitely. I've said that from the beginning. If we had crowds like Sacramento, our winning percentage would pick up because it rattles the opponent. It builds your confidence. When you have thousands of people telling you, 'You can do it, you can do it,' it helps you out an awful lot.

So we need to sell out for the rest out the season. We are SO close. I don't think i could take it if we collapse and Seattle sneaks in.

I wish someone would engrave that quote by Cuttino on the compaq center building so the ppl can see!

I agree with 100% on that one. Seems like the people at compaq center are too scared, or too "classy" to stand up and make some noise. especially when other teams are shooting free throws. The people behind the basket make me sick. They just sit there like mannequins or should I say Dummies. They don't say anything, or stand up or wave there hands or anything. You might as well watch the game at home on TV if you just want to sit there. WAKE UP HOUSTON!!!!!!

During the San Antonio game, in the midst of our incredible second half run, some douchebag behind me told me to sit down. He said that he 'would also like to see the game', and when I told him to get off his fat ass and stand up, he proceeded to ask me where I was from (whatever the hell that had to do with anything). Here we were, coming back from 20 down against arguably the best team in the league, and some old fat ass gets pissed at me for standing and cheering. Pathetic.

Those are exactly the kind of people that need to sit at home if they want to watch a game. It makes me angry when people go to the games just to socialize with others, and don't even seem to be into the game, unless maybe it is close in the 4th, and then they still don't do much cheering. Fans should be able to stand and cheer at the games as long as it is an appropriate time without others getting angry with them.

HEY! I sit behind the basket and I stand up and scream!

I know what you're saying though.I think I was one of only 2 people standing up and waving my arms and screaming while San Antonio was shooting free throws, behind the basket.

Ahh Im glad I looked back and found this post...cause that was my question! HOW COOL!Somehow I knew it would be one he would answer. I hope that means he read the whole thing, because it was a bit longer and included some praise of Cat for being such an energetic player. I also told him he could count on me being that nut in section 112 yelling like an idiot all game long and chanting defense when no one else does. Looks like they edited it for content.

tpl, waving your arms doesn't work. You need to do the karate crotch chop and say "yeah baby yeah" if you want to distract a player.

Next question would be...do you find as a player that it distracts you when shooting freethrows and the opposing teams fans are waving balloons behind the backboard?
