Hi I was wondering which is more worth it to buy: a game cube($89.99) or a gameboy advance ($99.99). Is gameboy advance any good? If any1 has a gameboy advance can u tell me whether it's worth to buy?

i got an advance, and its great for bathroom breaks. games cost less and you have better resale value at EB to get more games, (12-18 back for a 30$ game) as opposed to GC (15-20 back for a 35-50 game). also depends if you have friends, game cube has some great multiplayer games like smash bros, mario cart, but i think its not that different if you are playing by yourself. advance has some great single player games, and for someone who travels a lot, like myself, it is key for long trips, since i get sick if i read on cars, trains or planes. if you are the type who focuses on one game at a time, the advance may be better as it has great long term (advance wars, FF tactics) and great short term games (metroid, castlevania). although the advance is a bit more expensive, if you go by the method i mentioned above, you end up paying a lot less.

Gameboy Advance is ok, if you don't already own a Super Nes. :p

Seriously though, I used to own one and never played it after the first month. Game Cube has a GBA adapter, correct (like Super Gameboy for SNES)?

I honestly think that as far as single player experience goes, I've had more fun with the GBA than I have any of the other systems.

There is some quality stuff there. Golden Sun 1&2, Advance Wars 1&2, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Super Puzzle Fighter, Boktai, all the Mario rereleases....

Currently, I'm loggin in hours on Mario and Luigi, one of the best games released this year. It's practically Super Mario RPG3. Just a really complete, well done game.

Keep in mind, though...if you care about cutting edge graphics and more power, you should go with a console. The GBA works at a much lower level, if you care only about that sort of thing.

yeah, the gba definetly has great gameplay games, good for someone who grew up and is sastisfied in the era of supernintendo. im currently playing tactics and advance wars 2, i played golden sun but thought it was overrated, i want to get fire emblem, i played the last two castlevanias which are fun but short lived, metroid is awesome but also short lived, yoshis island is good, mario cart on the gba i was not impressed with, i got mario bros 3 which was nostalgic, but that also didnt last long.
i beat breath of fire, but that was a waste of time. keep in mind though, for every great game on a console, they make 3 games that suck hardcore. check www.ign.com as they give the best reviews but keep in mind that they get paid off to give good reviews to some games. you can usually tell if its a legit review by reading it.

i also have a bunch of old gameboy games that i can dig up, dr. mario!

if you are getting a gamecube make sure you get the new pack with the free Zelda Collector's Edition. It comes with Legend of Zelda, Zelda II, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask as well as a demo of Wind Waker and a Zelda retrospective video feature.

I bought my daughter the GBA sp for her birthday last month. If you have already have the GBA you know that you can't see crap in bad lighting and they light you buy sucks up the batteries, the SP has the light up screen which looks like a tv screen ( good for those trips at night) And one of the best parts I think is the rechargable batteries, you save all the money buying all of those AAs.

Isn't there a way to play your GBA games on your Game Cube; some sorta attachment?

If that's so, then the quality of game choice is going to be with the Game Cube. The main reason for the GBA is because it is portable.

I guess you could base your descision on one or the other.

If they clock that thing in at under 200 bucks I'll be impressed; especially with the features it's supposed to have.

I'd buy one; but it's at least another year away. No reason not to have another handheld system. the more the merrier!

they're going to have to work on those buttons. imo, having teh buttons push up out of the unit lets your finger recognize its there - just a suggestion to whoever is designing the system.

After months of speculation, Sony unveiled a single piece of concept art which indicates what its forthcoming PSP game deck might look like. At Sony's Corporate Strategy Meeting, held today in New York City, the concept art of the PSP showed a thin, rounded rectangular handheld game deck with a 4.5-inch 16:9 letterbox LCD screen, sporting a snap-on cover and hand lanyard.

Get a Gamecube. I bought a GC recently, and only to play one game...but it is well worth it.
