Cleveland was never going to trade Kyrie for melo and up until this change melo wouldn't have said yes
Melo got bullied LMAO. Why bargain for the no trade clause if you're not going to be man enough to use it?
If he goes to Portland? Eh...whatever. If he goes to OKC? Yeah...they're a big threat to us as 2nd in the West.
lol ESPN is already setting up the Rockets are underperforming storyline. We literally have 1 great player, 1 superstar, and 2 elite role players. If the Blazers or Thunder get Melo( and im pretty sure they wont give up much just like the Nurkic and Paul George deal). Then we will be looking at possibly the 5th seed in the west. And the media will be saying how did the rockets stumble from 2nd to 5th. They set us at 2nd in bpi( another made up stat like real plus/minus) to make it seem like we got better by adding one player. But we lost 2 players in that CP3 deal with PER'S above 20 in Montrez Harrell and Lou Williams, and also a solid future Ariza replacement in Sam Dekker.
No thats what the league office wants, Did the Thunder have to let Roberson go with Oladipo to get friggin Paul George.. nope, they already made us gave more than any other team this offseason to get a kinda washed up CP3. I would have offered that package for Kyrie if i had known he wanted out of cleveland. Melo doesnt have much value with his injuries and no-trade clause, but the league is blocking this trade, dont you understand. They will appprove a trade that cripples our chances at beating the warriors if it means getting melo.
When the melo trade doesnt happen, talk to me in 5 months when we are sitting behind the warriors, spurs, thunder, twolves, and maybe the clippers because CP3 at this age has been proven he cant stay healthy and our roster been depleted because of the trade. We should have gotten Melo first then got CP3
Defeatist attitude much? Behind the Twolves and the clippers? Would rather trade for Kyrie (who has proved absolutely nothing when he was on the floor by himself) instead of CP3? Our roster was depleted? By what- trading Dekker and Harrell, guys who we didn't even play much anyway (and Tucker is 10 times better than Dekker) and Bev- but replacing Bev with freaking CP3?
