Knicks, Rockets working on Carmelo Anthony trade scenarios

I wish I could get some of you in a poker game. It's like the art of negotiating is completely lost on some of the posters here. Absolutely NOTHING has changed about the situation. Training camp hasn't started, Media Day hasn't even occurred, Carmelo isn't on the record as having said anything yet, and the Rockets are happy to just wait the situation out. There is no reason to feel any differently today than you did last week, or last month. Be patient!

Good guy Melo

 

At this point would anyone be willing to give up Gordon for Melo?

Gordon was amazing and a revelation last year. He also was injury prone coming in and we all held our breaths with him the whole season. Could lightning strike twice or should we sell while we're up?

Paul/Harden/Melo/Ryno/Capela w Tucker, Ariza, Luc and Nene off the bench? I get everyone wants to ship Ryno out on a ship with wildfire barrels on it but does keeping Gordon over Ryno make us that much better?

 

I wouldn't. gordon has more upside IMO

No.. if Anderson and Gordon go we don't have the 3 pt shooting we had last year... in addition Gordon was good defensively last year.. above average good imo.

Melo for Anderson is only worth it if it's only Anderson plus filler going out... Gordon is going g nowhere if he was he wouldn't be posting on social media rockets related things

 

Have to keep Gordon. Need the spacing and the fact that he is a very good two way player.

no, I would give up Ariza before giving up Gordon

Ariza could be replaced by Tucker and Moute. Who could replace Gordon? Also, I don't think it would be just Gordon that we'd lose in a deal, his salary is only like half of Melo's. Another rotation player would have to go too.

 

Cmon man this guy doesn't even hang with his team..... why can't the Knicks trade him

 

I mentioned this earlier, no question I would for sake of getting Melo for sure and now...But its only based on me not having trust in EG's health and feel we lucked out last year...I would be freaking furious if we still don't have Melo and I hear, oh EG is out a couple weeks etc.

They probably didn't bring it up bc of the hurricane. Remember James wasn't in town during the hurricane and appeared afterwards with his donation

 

So I go to sleep for the night, everyone is positive and happy... I wake up 10 pages later and everyone is pretty much mourning like we lost the deal? Wtf happened the past 10 pages? My wifi is too slow to attempt to load them.
