Unfortunately, he will be what McDaniels was for the Rockets- a cheerleader. He has the biggest upside in the team in my opinion..

You have to love Harden's face after the dunk... like "Ah well.. missed 3" to "Where TF did he come from?!?"

You mean like from nobody to solid role player?

Harden has the biggest upside by a huge margin.

Who else on our team can go from not being able to make any All-NBA teams to Finals MVP in a couple years. No THAT is the upside ima talking about.

Robert Covington before he got to Phili.

    So, a raw 3 and D guy

This is true, but I am particularly looking forward to the posts of "Paul and Harden sucking today. Why won't MDA put in Taylor???"

Wish we still had that dude... Rockets unearthed him and Hinkie got fired before he could give him back to us. ;)

Melo needs to fake a bad injury during those pick up games

I once saw him snatch a bitcoin wallet off the top of the backboard and leave $820 in change (a while back).
Greatest talent I've seen since Malick Badiane.
I heard Royce White once flew to see him play.
    Wutsapp.

Seriously, though... I love his hustle and his , but I'm praying his wild play from the Summer League was just for the Summer League or because he was asked to try to take over games or something. I'm glad they got him -- all potential and an underdog to cheer for. Most excited I've been as a Rockets fan since we drafted Doug Lee.

He's young and locked up for three years if we want him. We'll see what he does with inevitable injuries afford him some minutes.

    KJ 2.0.

Hopefully he can become that guy who can adequately guard the 1-3 and hit a corner three, but I would be perfectly happy with the former. If he can cut hard to the basket and guard the perimeter this season I think he has something.

His game is extremely raw still. He's the type of player fans love to boost since he's a role player with potential that doesn't get minutes, but when he does, they will quickly turn on him due to flaws and inconsistency. He's like the backup QB but he's really the 4th string wing.

A Troy Williams sighting! 24 minutes (RGV on 1-19-18), a +12. Nice highlights (4 steals, 2 turnovers, 2-9 from 3 though). I wonder if he's logging some minutes in advance of the trade deadline.

He's quite a talent but Gerald Green may have stolen any minutes he might have had. Williams plays at the end of this game are unreal.

I’m pretty surprised he never got any playing time, his game and body frame reminds me of tmac, obviously no where near the talent yet anyway

I hope when healthy he is the hero of the mop up team. The hope of the future that just needs more time to develop => pushes the vets for real playing time. If we have an injury the vet will need to earn his time back. No more givens on rotation and set playing times. Hope he is the “hunger” that every team needs.

It's his BBIQ, Williams has a penchant for playing 1 vs. 2 or even 3 instead of passing it to open man. Aggressiveness works against him in MDA system. Williams is hero ball type player, takes too many tough shots.

Hope he learns because he is certainly talented. And Rockets will need young cheap talent to play behind banana boat crew.
