https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/HOU/2015.html Harden, Ariza, Capela and Black are left! That's 2 rotation players and 1 who got some playing time when the playoffs rolled around. Looking at that team, it was far from a great roster but we clicked at the right time. I'll take current Capela, Ryno, Gordon, PJ, Nene, Mbah and CP3 over Dwight, Josh, Terry, Brewer, Prigs, TJ and Beverley. More power, better defense and way better and reliant shooting. Harden is better under MDA too and they're all vets or at least experienced enough but not too much. We relied on freaking 38 year olds at PG come playoff time and for two guys to shoot a lot better than average to even get to the WCF. TJ was not the same player either and Dwight was not perfect for us and the system. Now we have a much better coach, though his short rotations and our injury prone players and poor depth at guard and bigs is worrisome. Still, we should be very optimistic and WCF is the least we should achieve. Go Rockets!
It's about feeling confident and realising what a great team we have here! Confidence and clicking can lead to beating a better team. That's been proven so let's trust this squad and let the nay-Sayers feed the fuel
We look really solid on paper @OTMax but we have to click at the right time like we did in 15'. I really like this squad and I'll like them even better if they come together when **** hits the fans rather than pointing fingers at each other. To me it's all about working through adversity, winning when shots aren't falling, and playing a style of defense that can frustrate the Golden States of the universe.
without hoody melo, we are empty and hollow nobodies with no attitude. b/c the boy w/ the hood is always hard. ya come stalkin his splash and he'll pull up from far. wantin nothin in life than to be rocket -- don't leave him kerr or 3's rain like shhit
In the NBA, it's often as much about matchups and momentum as it is about "being realistic," whatever that means. We used to beat those Jordan Bulls teams all the time, even though they looked better on paper and dominated most other teams. We were a nightmare matchup, though.
Here we go! Year two of the pep talk to convince ourselves that someone out there, hopefully us, can beat Golden State! And it'll be the same result. No, different result: 16-0 instead of 16-1 in this year's playoffs. Rinse and repeat.
I can't take @SirIvyLeague seriously without being able to look at his scorching hot body that he doesn't even workout to get
We might've been able to beat those Bulls. We never got a taste to try it. We have with GSW before, and they destroy us. They are everything we want to be.
I don't know if we will top 56 wins and WCF We should at the minimum but we may lose 4-0 to GSW instead of 4-1 and reality is we could have won those 1st two games in the 4-1 WCF series the way Harden balled out
yea rockets have a great team, but warriors will be there. The thing is the rox have to make sure every night there focus is just to contain guys like durant or curry to there very bottom avg, they are going to get there's but can they hold them enought where they can atleast be there in the final sec's to have a chance to win. This goes for all the top 8 west teams. Thunder and Wolves look scary as well.
