The 8:3 start actually makes something more difficult: some move in the backcourt is inevitable, sooner or later. We had some wins in the edge and a very good start so it's hard for the coaches to take any action.

Sitting on the standing and being happy is plain short-sighted. We gotta look into the "content'' of the game. I believe JVG is a desicive man and let's see what happens after 10 more games.

That was JJ who had the 8 second violation. Seriously, do you people even watch the games, or do you just magically know everything that happens?

Sad thing is Rox players don't see how efficient a pick can be. Otherwise you would expect them to pracise and use picks too. They don't. Only Yao constantly tries to set picks, but frankly he is a bit slow and teamates cannot read his purpose!

It's more like Moochie got torched by Damon.

I am not sure whether Yao had a flu or what. He was on fire earlier in the first quarter, then he was benched. Also, at crunch time, he brought back to 3 point difference. But since then, he rarely touched the ball. Oh well, I guess our guards insisted on losing the ball to 8-second violation instead of passing it. And the other guards insisted on taking over the ball from Yao's to TO to Portland. Ugly to watch. :(

He got the ball 5 yards in the back court with someone guarding him, and with 2 seconds to bring it up. You have to ask who was possesing the ball the first 6 seconds and why he passed the ball to JJ.
If I were the coach of oppents, I would pressure Rox backcourt on every possesion. I am quite confident to force at least 5 8-sec violations.

Yao is supposed to protect the rim and fight for the boards. He should be the major strength on defense. But he was just pathetic and unwatchable in the last quarter. He should be force to watch the tape, feeling the embarassment.

The Rockets are just pretenders! They've fallen on their asses in both games against real opponents this season, and have shown zero progress offensively. What the hell is a good defense good for if you don't have an offense to back it up?

I don't think he is talking about that one rebound. All the other ones that went over his head and into Stepania hands.Yao has slow reaction or something.

Because Yao never fight for rebounds with this teammates. This costs him at least 2-3 rebounds each game. But Yao is a so unselfish player and he enjoys sharing the RB stats with his 6'3, 6'4 teammates.:(

agreed. i always cringe when yao goes for a rebound, cause half the time it pops out of his hands and the other half he loses it to players a foot shorter than him (and half of those are on the same team as him!)

he should be averaging at least 12 rebounds a game. sometimes, i think he's just too tired to give it his all when going for a rebound. some of those times his arms are down at his knees and the ball whizzes over his head by within a couple of feet. other times, he just doesn't get good position. he always seems to be trying to grab the board from behind somebody.

yao......you heard of act your age? well, act your size!!!

Then there needs to be someone across the line for whoever brings the ball up to pass it to. You don't beat a press by dribbling the ball through the press, you pass the ball past the press, and you get a four-on-three or a three-on-two situation.

There should be no pass to JJ. The point guide is supposed to bring the ball up. How many times did you see a point guard was trapped in the half court? There is no double team on Steve and he could not bring the ball to pass the half court. What a joke!!!

You give them too much credit. It was not their decision. They were incompetent! They panic under presure.

Francis stunk tonight, and when the chips were on the line, Yao, Cat, and Francis all made mental mistakes that cost the team dearly.

Francis late in the game going UNDER the screen allowing Damon a wide open 3 pointer.

Ming passing the ball to the Trailblazers......

Cat on his questionable charge, and trying to get the ball from Ming.

The team just does not yet know how to win...they are trying, but are not poised by any stretch.

At least they are better this year than last, and hopefully they will GET IT one day........soon.

Steve was actually playing good defense on studemire but was consistently picked off with no help there for "he" gives up two points.

I don't want to see anything to other game, but for this game, Yao is very aggressive and open, Cat, pass him the damn ball!

cause he was getting double teamed on the full court press!

but still, you'd think they'd cover that in practice. whenver they got pressed full court, they didn't seem to know what to do and looked like they were starting to panic and were in slow motion.

one of them was steve's fault though, cause he got stopped in his dribble and just stood there and held on to it for a few more seconds while jackson was open. by the time he passed it jackson and jim started to dribble it up, 8 seconds was up.
