Moochie is terrible in defense, and no ability to create offence opportunity. When he was on court, Portland made a huge 13:0 run.. Please cut this guy, who is a rox real killer...

This announcing team is a real treat.

My least favorite commentator of all-time: Tom Tolbert
My least favorite NBA coach of all-time: George Karl

They should get Scottie Pippen doing the play-by-play.

    check this,

at halftime, Jim Gray interviews Damon Stoudamire, Damon says, "Yao was dominating early, maybe it helped us out that Van Gundy took him out early"...he says this with a smile...

Yao was dominating, Yao had the "disposition" to dominate, Yao didn't miss, played good D, was NOT tired, was Not in foul trouble and played what I thought was a flawless 8 mins and Van Gundy takes him out...everything was out of sync afterthat...it boggles the mind...I think jeff may have realized that was a mistake, he puts Yao back in quickly when Motay struggling...

No point in keeping him in there and risking getting his next foul.

JVG originally probably sat him b/c Yao seemed winded... not a good situation, esp. when he had to deal with guarding Randolph.

This team will be fine. They went thru a little mental lapse in the 2nd quarter, but all will be well... they'll fix what they did wrong, and come back stronger.

And, speaking of attendance, even Portland is struggling now... and they sold-out for 12 straight years from the 80's till 2000 or something.

Why took Yao out when he was hot in the 1st quart? It really killed his momentum. He was not tired. Could JVG played a little bit more flexible? I just don't understand

I knew he got 2 fouls, but why put him on the floor for 1 min? Any way, he got 1 ass and 1 blk for that min, sweet!;)

Without Yao playing well, this team is ugly to watch. The D in the 2nd quarter is horrible! They were watching the game, not playing it!
On the offense, once Portland started double teaming Yao, they shut us down, because nobody besides Yao is able to make a shot. Mo blew at least two unchallanged layups!

He is thinking to bring a fresh Yao back in the 2nd quarter and repeat the first quarter. Yao played well after coming back. He made great passes. Unfortunately, only one converted to an assist! The the rest of the team keep playing like this, Portland can afford triple teaming Yao from now on.

Yea... this is questionable.. but the fact is when Yao left with 4 min left, the Rox were only up by 6 points... they build to a 11 points lead with him on the Bench.

If the Rockets lose this game, I blame the coach. He made a terrible mistake by leaving Moochie in there so long. The Rockets were up by 13, when he putput him in and then down when he finally took him out. And why does he play Mo T so much?

You might as well add in the Cato's missed dunk. that's 8 throw away points.

How do we know if Yao was tired or not? I couldn't tell either way from the TV. I'm guessing that JVG has a better view than we do. Except for Trannamerica, of course, whom I'm sure has a spectacular view three rows back. ;)

(Trannamerica, btw, I'm just teasing. If you really were at those games, I certainly enjoyed your observations).
