No it's not. What is wrong with you people, seriously. How is it risky when the only other option is to make the team worst?
Ryan Anderson is not going to land them anything good, but most definitely something bad. He won't budge, they won't budge. Keeping him rather than taking back a horrendous contract is obviously the logical thing to do; and no, "the league is not taking notice" and their image is not worst, its crappy as it always was. The people that think they have to do this trade because it hurts their image not to are the same people that think Ryno can get turned into Melo....so ...yeah....not going to happen

That picture of Melo with Jeffries is a perfect example of why Melo couldn't advance in NY. He's the only guy in that picture that's still in the league...

That Wolverine photo really needs to have LeBron's face over the top of it.

I know you're the resident nay sayer and I'm not in the "just a matter of time" camp, but while Ryno's contract is worse than Melo's from a financial perspective, the huge benefit to Ryno's contract over Melo's is that Ryno doesn't have a NTC. Ryno can always be moved later when an opportunity presents itself. That is something that will never be true for melo's for the remainder of his current contract.

That alone makes their contracts comparable in value.

Then he's an expiring next year. Sounds better than a Ryno or Myers Leonard who have 3 years remaining and play the same position as Porzingis...and suck

Yes the NTC sucks. But that does not make it comparable. Whos a better player? And who has one less year on the contract?

Will scuba Melo help the Rockets torpedo the Golden State Warriors, or will he propel the Knicks to the end of the draft lottery? C U next Tuesday after next.

Well there's certainly a debate to be had there in terms of impact on value. But it's not as clear cut as you make it sound. I can make an argument that suggest comparable value given just the perspective of the Knicks going to market to shop Melo and the Rockets going to market to shop Ryno. Both teams would get very limited returns but for different reasons.

Either way, the fact that we can make arguments one way or the other indicates it's not so "obvious" as you make it out to be.

You Don't have to believe me. I knew Less was selling the team before the media knew, I knew CP3 was being traded for before it was reported. I just keep it quiet. Some of you know who I am and that I've passed this info on before. I don't know Morey. I don't know players. I know Rockets employees who are in charge of areas that need to be in the know about potential player acquisitions.

Yeah, I still think it happens but honestly you can't ever count on the Knicks doing the smart thing. They might just embrace the fact that they are a joke of an organization and decide to hold Melo hostage into the season.

Has there been development though? Admittedly I haven't been paying THAT much attention, but I haven't heard of anything groundbreaking.

not really legit development but people comming with their own sources shows signs that melo might start the season as knicks.
But I still have hope melo starts as rockets. I haven't given up yet
