    No, most of these dudes do not live in Houston full time. Melo will keep living in NY even if he came to play for Houston.

    NY can be hit by hurricanes just the same as Houston can btw.

    The fact that he is "playing nice" in NY is actually good for us I think. They don't want him for the 2 years left on his contract. If he gets comfortable again, he opts in. He takes valuable playing time and offensive opportunities from their entire rebuild. I would be more worried if the rumors were of him opening up the NTC for other teams.

    If you believe that Steve Mills promised Carmelo that he would go to Houston, then you have to think that trumps all. Even with Perry coming in and using the "new GM/new direction" excuse, Steve Mills didn't lose his job. If Baby Mills had gone out of with the bathwater then I would be able to see Perry completely going back on his word. Pissing off Chris Paul and James Harden would hurt their already tender reputation among the elite players in the league. So in light of that, I just assume that they promised him he would go to Htown long ago. Houston probably knows this. Wait until TC and then take the best deal you have.

    Unfortunately for me I'm going to be wrong until the trade deadline passes or he gets traded to another team. Talks could be completely dead well into the season, "doesn't mean anything, they have no choice but to trade him to us; or it's a marketing ploy; or New York have to fold". One tweet from a random dude from his moms basement, ITS HAPPENING!

    But again. It wouldn't be unfortunate for me. Having Melo without losing Capela, EG or Ariza would be unreal. I honestly think that team could find a way to contend.

    I also think that with Melo GSw will have a harder time guarding us with Harden, Cp3, Melo and Ego. We have better chance of beating them adding Melo.
