Former Rockets player Steve Francis has started a Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund to raise $100,000 and is asking for help. In a press release, Francis said he has a strong desire to provide disaster relief for those who are in need of assistance. To donate to Francis' fund, visit the Web site: https://www.youcaring.com/americanredcross-917076 All proceeds will be given to the American Red Cross.
He should just be broadcasting, donating, and endorsing JJ Watts youcaring campaign at this point. When you see $20 million plus of donations, you have the sense that enough people believe the money will be used correctly which will lead to more people feeling comfortable donating.
exactly and I love Stevie, but he has a sketchy pass, so I don't think that helps with him and his fundraiser. Not to mention another guy in Houston with a $20+ million fundraising campaign. he should have just donated to that one or promote that one. Stevie has $100k goal and he only has $775, that's a bit underwhelming and embarrassing.
Terrific guy maybe, but I wouldn't trust Steve Francis with $100k going to a relief fund Likely to use a lot of it to fund travel to Colorado and Washington.... Great cause though and let's hope he can execute
I dont know how Steves self-esteem is these days, but the overwhelming known fact that he was only able to raise $775 in a whole week is a pretty blowing shot to an ego.
This dude is reportedly worth 40 million yet he sets a goal of $100,000 and it's only at $775. Come on Stevie call Yao and Cat and get real.
Since he's worth so much, you think he'd be making a few anonymous donations just to avoid the embarrassment.
No one is going to one up JJ Watt on the crowd funding. Tmac did a BBQ, I'm sure Francis could do something similar.
