Who is to say all of these hurricanes, rising humid temps, sudden climate shifts (hot, cold, hot) and shorter/non-existant winters are not caused by mass pollution from 5 million cars driving in, through and around Houston all day every day? Also, you won't find more trucks, suvs and 18 wheelers anywhere else in the US. 2/3 vehicles are one of them in Houston. And forget houston, what about other cities and states? As more people switch to electric, more infrastructure will be built to support them.
You know they should be focused like Tesla on it because it is the future. In Houston, too many money mongers like you exist.
Money grubbers continue ****ing up the ozone and the air we breathe idgaf Money should give you power, but not political power. ****ed up country
I was under a quarter of a tank on both my truck and wife's car yesterday afternoon. When I heard Cedar Park was out of gas topped both off in Jonestown where the gas was going quickly. I needed it and didn't take the dozen garage and boat gas cans I have since I figure this is just temporary and mostly a supply chain issue before we really start dealing with the impact of refineries being off line so long. But hard to tell there isn't a shortage when all the stations are out of gas. Yes there will be more... eventually so relax. All this leads me to... My next purchase is going to be an older ford diesel truck so I can convert it over to bio-diesel for after the fuel supply really runs dry. Then I can run off fast food recycled veg oil when suckers fighting over gasoline. I've been through enough "shortages" in my lifetime to see things get scarce pretty quick and people start acting the fool. Each instance makes me want to move farther away and become more self reliant. I'm 2 bad events away from becoming a full blown, compound living prepper.
It's kind of funny, I've witnessed several arguments on here yet I can't say I disagree with any single post that's been submitted in this thread. Weird. It's like all sides are correct.
I could be wrong, but off the top I can only think of rwo refineries in the Pasadena area that produce gasoline. And that's Shell and LyondellBassel. The bulk of the rest are chem and plastics plants. And for what's it worth, I spoke with the manager of a Valero station yesterday who said that thier latest order for more gas was denied until further notice. I'm not saying that there is a gas shortage in the Houston area for sure, but the two biggest refineries in the country were shutdown due to Harvey. So it wouldn't be that much of a stretch if it were true. And just to be clear, I do not know whether or not there is actually a gas shortage.
According to the Railroad Commission (oil and gas for those of you who aren't aware), there is absolutely no supply shortage. There might be a slight delay in refueling some stations, but there is plenty of gasoline and absolutely no reason to run to the pumps. http://www.wfaa.com/news/local/texas-news/texas-commissioner-dont-panic-about-gas/469658632 https://www.texastribune.org/2017/0...issioner-ryan-sitton-about-gas-availability-/ https://www.dallasnews.com/news/har...ad-commissioner-says-fuel-shortage-calls-calm
You're the same guy who was too lazy to stock up on food before the storm and then complain he was tired of eating the same food after one day. You're not gangsta.
I'd like to hear much more of your philosophy of life and the world. I'm truly fascinated with your world view. Mods, can we get Brown Lost It a dedicated sticky thread?
It's pure chaos in Austin -- every gas station i've seen looks like something from a 70s horror movie.
can vouch for the website the guy who bragged on his redneck truck posted. I was able to score 93 octane with no lines. Even filled up all the rubber maid containers I stashed.
