Ha! I've seen the picture of that elderly lady on the jetski, but had no idea about the link with Chik-fil-A. Awesome.
I shouldn't laugh, but I kept thinking of this Hans Moleman scene off the Simpsons after reading that :
He's about to wipe out the national debt at this rate... What was he looking for? $200k? lol. It's up to $13 million at this point.
This has already been worse for my brazoria county friends than last year. Hoping oyster creek stays out of the houses in richwood
Shea Serrano decided to tweet his followers that he was donating 200 bucks to his official "FOH Harvey" fund. Wasn't expecting much. Got 100k in 5 hrs
A good friend of mine in Minnesota has in laws that live in Missoui City near Oyster Creek. When I talked to her last night she said that her in laws' house had flooded. Do you know if Oyster Creek is still rising?
My parents live right there too. About a 100 homes flooded in Lake Olympia. My understanding was that the crest for Oyster Creek will happen around the same time as the Brazos river, which is this morning.
THey keep pushing it out, brazos at west columbia anyway. Was supposed to crest today, then they changed it to the 2nd, now after this mornings level barely getting to what was supposed to have been observed last night, they have pushed the forecasted crest out to morning of september 6! With a much lower, slower rising curve. The levels keep falling short of what they epected, and they keep lowering the curve. At one point they had it spiking up to 40' crest
The god damn Apocalypse is playing out right now in Beaumont. No water supply in the entire city. It's absolute madness. So thankful I got out yesterday. My father in law is still there.
No way would I stay anywhere without plenty of water at a minimum. If you're depending on having utilities, or counting on being able to restock, got to gtfo of there when you can.
