You are trying to be funny why dealing a low blow to that other guy ... Steve might very well believe and try to do everything Jeff wants him to do .... but that is far from actually doing it on the court ... I've seen how he plays ... it's not exactly like what he says.
we're not ever trading francis, he is pivotal as a playmaker. He is, and always will be, our Go-To guy.
That maybe, but it's a far cry from 2 people fighting...nothing in anything either JVG or Francis has said since the regular season started to suggest they are at odds...
I don't see why you're romanticizing a player so much who has never taken his team to the playoffs. He's tradeable. Anybody is. Francis is just valuable to the point where a trade is unlikely to happen. And as for always being our go-to guy... to assert that, you almost have to assume that Yao will grow very, very little as an offensive force. Right now, Yao is almost as good as Francis offensively, on any given play (though not throughout an entire game). If he makes even normal progress for someone his age, he'll eventually be better (though the low stamina might always be there). Then, he might not progress much. But you sure as hell don't know that he won't.
I think it might be time to take the gloves off around here. Just think for one second what this team would be like without him.
look steve franchise is a awesom talent and he's been the man since he's maryland days, so it's pretty hard for him to all of a sudden take a back seat for YAO. i think JVG, knows this, so he's taking a diplomatic approach. i think once steve sees that the rockets can only become a great team once yao becomes the focus, he'll change he's style eventualy he'll have to. give him time instead of baying for the poor kids blood everytime something goes wrong. as someone pointed Rome was'nt built in the day.
