I would have figured you a System of a Down fan with the name and all. Wish I had headphones to give this a listen. Will listen later.
Not a big Coldplay fan but I'll rank it better than Pearl Jam's ****ing Cubs song on whatever it was. And I love Pearl Jam.
Good gesture and impressive turnaround time, but it kinda drives home how little anyone thinks about Houston. Is he going to let others cover it since he presumably didn't record it?
I was kinda Eh on coldplay till I heard Chris Matin introduce Peter Gabriel into the Rock n Roll HOF. I'm a huge PG fan and like Gensis. Trying to catch all the references in the intro speech was fun. This song just re-affirmed my thinking. Martin seems like a cool dude. Good Job Coldplay And Thanks for the Thoughts. You too Miami.
There is nothing wrong with Coldplay. Are they at the level of U2 or Radiohead? No. But The Outlaws weren't at the level of Lynyrd Skynyrd or The Allman Brothers. But they were still very good. Maybe Teddy Pendergrass didn't reach the heights of Stevie Wonder or Marvin Gaye, but sometimes a Teddy Pendergrass album is what you need most. If I have to bring 2 out of 3 albums to a desert island among Achtung Baby, OK Computer, and A Rush of Blood to the Head, I'm definitely bringing the first 2. But I'm sneaking AROBTTH with me too - bc sometimes a bit less is more.
As someone displaced due to the storm (but likely to return home one day in the near future, so many people are way worse off), my sense of humor not real high right now, sorry. Or lack of sleep. I normally curb this sort of thing. Like when someone writes, "Houston, we have a problem....." Sigh.
