Would Bill O'Brien's crayon and construction paper ass playbook look like a professional football offense if the OL wasn't so jammed to the brim with unathletic, no technique having nice guys?

My God. Being fat qualifies you as a starter on this team. At least be a technician. At least be an *******. Bunch of low IQ patty cakes, 2 deep at every position.

They need Brown back something fierce.

Savage is a decent QB. I get it. Play it safe, the story of the Texans. How in the world is Watson supposed to prove anything? The starting OL is kinda crappy, 2nd team is brutal...and throwing to who, Anderson and Wendell freaking Williams? The sample size we have of him is nearly useless information.

As I type an unblocked, untouched blindside blitz nails him in the back.

Savage is the starter because you gave Watson no chance. That's what bothers me. Savage is ok. Savage is experienced in the system. Savage has a good arm. Savage got the opportunity to show up strong and managed to underwhelm, while Watson was given **** on a stick and still pulled a few rabbits outta his hat.

Crayola better get his offense together by season's end or I'll be leading the call for his job. That God forsaken WR tunnel screen. Throw that play the **** away.

Even his first year here, with a good OL and Arian Foster, the offensive scheme was crap

    The offensive line looked terrible.

I wouldn't be surprised if we fired the coach tomorrow.

But I'm not going to judge the playbook based off of vanilla, non-schemed preseason games. That's really a dumb thing to do.

I would like to see Watson with the ones, for sure. I think Savage is safe. I think he'll be fine. But I also think Watson would look better if given time to process. It would help his development as well. It might help his accuracy issues as well.

At this point, though, it's clear Savage is the best option. That may not be the case by week 8 though.

Blame it on the offensive line? Nice try. O'Brien wanted to call the plays. He gets the credit if the offense has a great turn around. HE should get the blame if it horrible.

The further we get away from Kubiak's Texans the worse BOBs offense gets. Without Brown and Hopkins (a couple of Kubiak guys) his offense is utter garbage. Maybe a switch will get flipped come September 10 but i doubt it.

This is the same playbook and calls they've been making for 4 years. Vanilla then, vanilla now, vanilla week 1. I'm not giving the vanilla pass to a team that's put extra mayo on white bread with a glass of whole milk for years. This isn't even vanilla, this is flavorless.

What about my post suggests I was giving him or the OL favor? Nothing is different from "Godsey" calling the plays.

He can blame it on the line if he wants, and fire the coach, but we all know that he is ultimately responsible.

What I'm trying to say is that you're trying to develop guys, but they have no way to develop because they get no time to react or make plays.

All that being said, I'm sure things will be different opening day. Especially as skill players (and hopefully Duane Brown) return.

Figured you were since I blasted the OL and you deferred blame.

It's both. The OL is **** and Crayola gives them no chance to succeed.

This guy has no leverage if this offense sucks again. Made himself OC. His hand picked QB with 4 years in the system. A stable of early round skill players. Nick Martins return. It's all on you bud. So sick of seeing this elite defense get zero help. I'm fed up. This offense shouldn't be this bad. The Jets, Browns & Bears should be this bad. Not our offense, I have zero faith in his dumbass offense. I feel like there's no method to the madness, it's just awful to watch.

Nah. It was in response to the OL coach being fired. He can fire the OC, he can fire Devlin, he can even fire Izzo. But at some point, he has to take responsibility. Scratch this whole calling plays seal and hire a real OC.

    Ah...

Well at this point I would say well deserved but it would definitely come off as another scapegoat firing.
look at the de-evolution of the OL in conjunction with the offense getting shittier every year. They have botched that toe.

BOB is Phil Jackson but doesn't have Kobe or Shaq to run the triangle
