How are you going to rack em likes on Facebook if you just record a truck going down the highway like normal?
We are all humans. People do make mistakes and some are unfortunately more costly than others. Doesn't make them an idiot.
I have been in logistics for most of my adult life, handling loads in warehouses and getting all materials cleared for containers such as those. The first and last thing you do before you depart any dock is check your load (whether loaded or unloaded) no matter what. That guy is a moron and those guys in the video tried to warn him and he paid no attention to them before cruising into those highway signs. If anything he could have killed someone and he will most likely lose his CDL for that mistake. IDIOT.
Can the driver not feel the aerodynamics of the truck getting all jacked up? Granted, the only truck I've ever driven is a pickup, but anytime there was something sticking out the back even a ladder, I could definitely feel the air turbulence.
Judging by the comments on that video some people really hate truckers. I just dislike the trucks, not the truckers. The truckers I respect, because I don't really think I'd be able to do that job. Seems way too stressful.
Was likely driver error, but did you see their pathetic attempt to stop him? Dude barely rolls down his window, and barely sticks his arm out. A situation like that you gotta be way more emphatic. Dude looked like he was dancing.
