I've always pondered sending Gordon with Ryno and getting back Lee but Gordon is so damn good.

LeBron doesn't want anything to do with Cleveland anymore. That front office is toxic.

While I agree he seems to be leaning on leaving I just couldn't see him leaving if they somehow won the title... it's a long shot but I would still say the Cavs are the odds on favorite to come out of the east and Lebron has beaten peak Golden State before.

Of all the chicken little crap that's been posted so far, this is the WORST. First of all, Berman is full of ****. He doesn't know a damn thing about the situation.....nobody does because Melo isn't talking to the media about it. Second, LeBron isn't going to recruit a bunch of guys to a team that he doesn't want to be a part of. Third, CP3 IS NOT LEAVING HOUSTON. He was ready to sign a 4 year deal here as a free agent, and now all of a sudden he's going to bounce after just one year??? That makes absolutely ZERO sense. He came here because he wanted to team up with James Harden. Period. In fact, if he truly wanted to play in Cleveland, he would have told the Clippers to work out a trade over THERE instead of here.

Some of you seriously need to get a grip. It's August 24.....training camp hasn't even started yet!

He didn't, this all could change if they win this year. Don't tell me there's no chance at all.

That is Berman trying to stir the pot. Melo hasn't said anything.

Yea but if teams have been told to not help facilitate the Carmelo to Houston trade, then it may force him to waive his NTC. Everybody knowS he doesn't want to come back to NY. This SAME offseason we just saw Paul George get traded to OKC for a bag of cheetos. I'm sure teams like Brooklyn would be willing to take Anderson

I dont mind taking Love, Green , and Shumpert for Cp3. With the roster we have now, we could be good too as well. That would make us a really good defensive team with that trade for 2018-19 season, say if cp3 wants clevland next season and wont resign , we would just get that in return.

That's great and all but who do Knicks get from cavs?. Do you think the Brooklyn first is enticing enough?

Lol, this is what has some people thinking Melo to Cleveland could happen?

"When the Cavaliers talked to the Knicks about Kyrie Irving, Cleveland brass had no interest in discussing Carmelo Anthony. Kristaps Porzingis was their lone focus.

Whether that changes after the blockbuster trade that sent Irving to the Celtics, with the Cavaliers emerging with more assets than anyone imagined, remains to be seen. As does whether Anthony, who has a no-trade clause, will have renewed interest in playing with LeBron James β€” even if it is for one season.

Anthony claims to be β€œat peace,’’ but he must be getting antsy after watching Irving get his wish and Paul George, Jimmy Butler and Chris Paul each get traded, too."

Berman said nothing but opinion and speculation...

I can assure u that NY would never get anything as valuable as that BK 1st for Melo.

Uh, u do realize that Wade, Rose, IT, and Lebron will all be free agents after this season right? I have yet to see why Cleveland will all of the sudden become so enticing to Melo after just getting crossed off his list.

Also, who would Cleveland be giving up for Melo? They're gonna trade Love for him now after refusing to do so for months?

This is perfectly logical. We THINK we know LeBron did not want to be a part of the Cavs pre-mega deal. This is a different team. His opinion may have changed, as the Cavs have improved in my view. I don't think its that much of a stretch to think that Wade will join the Cavs when he is bought out, nor is it a stretch to think that Melo may give the Cavs a second look (some say he already has). I agree that CP3 may not be traded, but the idea of LeBron, Wade, D-Rose, Love, Crowder, IT, etc... I think is actually better than adding CP3. (But directly to your point that you don't think he will "bounce" after a year, what choice would CP3 have? He does not have a NTC. If Cleveland was set on getting him (and creating the banana boat) and offered IT and Rose (which would be bad for Cleveland, but whatever), Houston, I think, would take that deal. Presto!

And what do you mean "Chicken Little" crap? I am just being realistic. The Rockets will have a great team and will compete for a WC championship. But getting Melo is unlikely.

NY is in rebuild. That BKN pick is going to be very attractive. Plus, Cleveland has more pieces than Houston. I don't think Love is going anywhere..but maybe. Crowder may change Cleveland's mind. Not sure.
