I think you have a bizarre and twisted view of the Fourth Estate, which was seen as so important to the founders of this country that they specifically protected it in the constitution. He absolutely is a household name. If you asked 100 people over the age of 35 to name a KKK member, David Duke would be the overwhelmingly most common answer.
