    This is funny...

"They're sweating bricks right now," Rockets guard Cuttino Mobley said of the Suns and Timberwolves. "I just talked to (Denver's) Nick Van Exel, and he told me they play Minnesota in a couple of days, so he's going to do me a favor. I've got my boys all around the league looking out for the young boy."

Is Excel gonna pull a Tonya Harding on Garnett or what?

that would assure the Rockets getting that 8 spot.

I don't like it when our players say things like "They're [Suns, TWolves] sweating bricks right now..."

Do our players have to mouth off like that? That sort of thing just provokes the ire of our opponents. There is no reason to get them any more mad than they are. Plus, it makes us look like we are cocky and have already made the playoffs, when the fact is that we have much more hard work to do before.... I just don't get it.

    Yeah,

But it keeps the fire burning here at home.
They need to keep that drive up, especially for these tough games coming up. Ill take those benefits over the costs of it being locker-room material.

If the T-Pups and Suns need trash talk to get them motivated then they're in trouble already. I like Cat's confidence but let's hope he can back it up when it's all on the line.

Why is Gonzaga always given a double digit seed? Just move them to the Sweet 16 where they belong and let them play from there.

Regardless of the trash talk, they ARE sweating bricks right now. Wouldn't you be?

The Rockets very likely will sneak up on MN and Pho. and are very capable of passing either or both of those teams if the hot streak continues.

The pressure is on them to keep winning. If they play not to lose instead of playing to win......Houston slides in.

-Elvis, who missed a few Rockets games this week while visiting NYC for the first time..impressive place!

    [/B][/QUOTE]

cool, i moved to NYC from Austin/houston and all i do is bleed rockets. it is kind of fun, finding the bar that will allow me to watch the rockets vs. the Nets, or the Pacers, or the KNicks for that matter. its cool, ive got bragging rights this season, we swept the knicks nice and good. anyway, im pullin for the seventh seed for the Rockets. i think it will happen.and i will not let a couple of yankees get in the way of doing it.

The ammount of smack the Rockets talk in the press is probably nothing compared to what the average player says to each other on the court..on any level, really. Young teams like the Rockets probably need a bit of swagger to overcome their big-game inexperience. Anyway, I am really proud of how the Rockets responded this week after the Suns loss.
