Brian Rauf - Chat Sports; floating rumors that the door is opening wider
and Melo may be willing to accept CLE, OKC or Portland

    http://www.chatsports.com/nba/a/lat...3-new-teams-rockets-may-deal-ariza-more-34985

I don't see the Portland option as viable, but I DID see a pic with Melo working out with McCollum.
Also, he's buds with LBJ in CLE. Not sure about any interest in going to OKC to watch WB jack up shots.

Also rumors of Ariza being a trade piece if push comes to shove in the Melo deal.

No there's no "kind of." The real life event happened before the comic. Granted, there were no mythical beasts and monsters in the real thing.... but the comic didn't pull that **** out of thin air. The story is based on the fact that the King of Sparta, Leonidas, only took 300 Spartans with him to battle tens of thousands of Persians. They forced the Persians back a number of times before being defeated, taking more than 10,000 Persian lives. So don't set it aside as some comic...

For the record, Greeks will tell you that Xerxes praised Leonidas after he fell. He had his warriors lift Leonidas up while he gave him an admiring eulogy before giving him a proper burial.

In America we say he cut his head off and put it on a stake for all to see.

Knicks trying to put the squeeze on the Rockets. Acting like Portland is putting on the full-court press for Melo more than the Rockets. Then quoting Steve Kyler (who might one day be right about something; it'd be the first time).

That is all true, the part everyone leaves out is that there were ~7,000 greeks there. 300 were Spartans.

Dude didn't even have the courtesy to say "sources say" to follow up where he got any of this information from. Even for fake insiders this is bad. Bet he seen the video of CJ and Melo playing and hatched this article up.

I know breh. If you read my quote again, you will see that I said in my quote that the battle did occur. There is a "kind of" because the comics and movie is not historically accurate. It is historical fiction.

None of the points you make change the fact that the story we know of from the movies and comics is historical fiction and belongs to frank miller.

Not sure what you are debating with me about. No need to be all defensive and drop ellipses on me... Lol

all good, just saying Frank Miller's inspiration came from the event. And after this I'm going to forget there is a person named Frank Miller.
