    The following is the translation:

The mdia always determines the hero by successes and failures. That's always the truth.

Everybody knows that no one can make no mistakes. Playing basketball is the same.

People sometimes say that SF is too selfish. I admit. However, you can't forget if that's the way of winning, everybody will pass it him and set it up for him. Furthermore, this is often required by coaches too.

The way of NBA right now is that every team has a couple of superstars except this year's Lakers. Those superstars always take the shots at the beginning of the games. If one keeps making them, he will keep shooting. If he misses a few in a row, it's another guy's turn. Any way, who can make the shots can shoot more.

Those superstars didn't become who he is right now by just playing a couple of NBA games. It's the recognition after several years' outstanding performance in NBA. Then the coaches and the other players will let them shoot and give them more freedom.

This is the rule of this game!

Jeff's offense strategy has already reduced the number of one on one isolation plays, but he still has to depend on those players.

I want to let everyone know that most of the times, the selfish one on one plays that you see are designed offense sets.

I have said before that everyone makes mistakes. It means that WE (please pay attention, I said WE), including SF, Cato and I will always make mistakes. Please forgive us and keep supporting us .

the title should be "Yao's take on SF"

the last sentence, yao said Cat instead of cato.

It seems that Yao isn't a Yao only fan.

I guess this explains why Yao will stop trying to post up if he misses several shots early in the game. I dont like this line of thinking. Just because you miss three or four in a row does not mean that you should give up until the 2nd half.

I'm glad Yao said this. If someone else had said it, they'd clearly be wrong.

Well lets be practicle. This exact situation was played out in the last few Preseason Games. Yao Ming was the early scorer and was hitting them. The Guards didnt continue to pass to him, infact thay went away from him till later on.
In the season Yao Ming is generally not been the one to get tested early on like in the preseason he is being tested well into the Game. I ask why was this changed from the preseason to the regular season when Yao Ming had shown that he can put the ball into the basket when fresh.

of course, the favorite refrain of those who dont like to believe that someone in the know might not share their views.

say it with me boys and girls.......

    "They. were. just. being. diplomatic."

Face it, more of those plays you hate are called by the man on the bench than not.

And I cant imagine what Yetti thinks he is talking about....Yao has started off cold plenty of times....but of course we should keep expecting him to shoot even tho he is missing badly.

    Sure boss....whatever you say..

I thought more proper translation of "too selfish" should be "ball hogging" in basketball terms.

A Chinese poster opened that thread talking about SF. Yao Ming's reply is at page 16 (not quite sure) of that thread.
