Look, I'm not trying to be the edgy guy here who hates everything but Fantasy/Comic Books/anime are in the same realm of things I just don't care about. I can't be in that circle, I'm sorry. Oh and stop with the memes!!!
Watching the show made me a fan. Between last season and the start of this one I made it through the first 3 books. Between the end of this season and the start of the next one I'll be all caught up. Do you like string cheese? What about shirts with horizontal stripes?
I don't care for fantasies like Lord of the Rings nor Harry Potter. I took on people's suggestion here and gave GoT a try and I don't regret it. It is IMHO one of the best show of all time. People say The Wire is one of the greatest and I find this to be much better. Just my 2 cents.
When Robb dies it was one of the most pivotal points in my life. I didn't want to eat. I doubted my own existence. I was in complete disbelief. I don't remember how long I felt like that, but I still feel as if I'm going to wake up from that nightmare and Robb will still be King of the North.
Haven't seen The Wire. I know I will someday. As far as "best" TV show in my lifetime I'd have to say Breaking Bad. And comparing GoT to BB seems odd just because they're two completely different beasts: one is narrow in scope and driven by character development, the other is broad in scope (maybe most in depth show ever? top 3?) and driven by this intriguing storyline.
I currently don't watch Game of Thrones bc I don't have enough time in the day to fit all my other shows. Ill binge watch it one of these days.
