@ Dallas L Phoenix W @ Toronto L @ Philadelphia W 19 Wed Golden State 21 Fri @ Portland 24 Mon @ L.A. Clippers 26 Wed @ Utah 28 Fri @ Sacramento 29 Sat @ Seattle When this 10 game piece came up there were predictions about how this would come out for the Rox. Four games in, two wins, both on the back side of Back-to-Backs (which GS faces against Rox tomorrow nite). I would like to believe that all the games are realistically winnable, and that Rox will win no fewer than four. (Seattle is 2nd of a Back-to-Back for them, coming in from Utah.)
3-2 is hard to go in six games, but I do think that 3-3 is realistic and acceptable. 4-2 would be really nice though
Winning four games or more? Way too optimistic. If we split win and loss in next six games, I am satisfied. We will win over Golden State, Sac, LA Clipper. Portland's PF is too strong for us to match, UTAH and Seattle are good shooting and running team which we will have trouble to deal with. That is, by the end of this month, if we have a 10 - 6 record, it is a good start.
i think we can win the first three, Utah is still riddle to me, but i like and fear their smart play. ballsacramento will be tough as miller and peja are starting to play phenomenal, but im most scared about seattle, one of our main competitors, the following night, especially after running the floor from sactown the previous night.
uhhh...yeah, what he said! If the Rockets can't beat the Warriors at home, they might as well quit right now...
Maybe you did, but you could have said that for the Grizzlies yet it seems they've turned out better than you would have expected. Hopefully they'll continue to do so.
Well at least the Rocks are catching a break in the brutal part of this road schedule. Looks like Bonzi Wells is going to be out for the Portland game which I feel is really going to help the Rockets big time in that game. Getting MoT back and Bonzi out should equal another road victory for the Rocks. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1664974 Hopefully we will catch a few more breaks like this on the schedule.
They'll go 6-0!!! Actually I think it may be very possible for them to go undefeated the next six games. But most likely it'll be 4-2 with losses to Portland and Seattle. Randolph and Lewis are probably gonna tear us up.
The coming 5 road games: 5-0 will be wonderful and Im buying into it that Rox is going to make a big noisy in the play-off 4-1 great, we are stepping to the 2nd round of the play-off 3-2 good enough for me to believe this team is a play-off team 2-3 OK, this team is fighting for play-off spot. 1-4 lottery team aga1n 0-5 Fire all the coaches and CD, trade all players
We should beat Golden State. We're just a better team, despite being fatigued. Portland beat us during the pre-season when we're still jelling, so this game should be paid back. It'll be tough, but I think the Rockets can beat them. CLippers. They haven't been looking as sorry as last year, but the ROckets SHOULD be able to beat this team. The Rockets should beat UTAH, but a lot of teams, so far, should have beat UTAH. Utah is the team that just won't die, so I wouldn't be surprised if Utah pulled off a win. Sacramento. Okay, last year, we beat them twice, I think, and evertime we lost, we gave the Kings hell all four quarters. The Kings very much respect the Rockets, and know that they can't give them an inch. We beat the Kings twice during the preseason, but they didn't have Webber. They still don't have WEbber, so toss this game into the "Should Win" category. Seattle. This game will be tough, but, on paper, I think we're still the better team. WE should beat this team not only because we're the better team (on paper) but because, most likely, this team will be on our asses all season for the one of the lower tier playoff births. We NEED to win this game, get a head start on the season-series--if Seattle does well enough to tie us in wins and losses this year. The teams aren't too tough. The real killer is the schedule, the traveling, and all the crazy wild sex that Yao has on the road, which also explains why he is so fatigued. If anyone can't tell that I'm kidding, then that's pathetic. But if the Rockets are in trouble, we should be fine. John Amaechi is looking to make his 50 point debut soon . . . .
19 Wed Golden State L The Rockets always lose at least one home game to Golden State each year, but oddly enough, never lose in Oakland. 21 Fri @ Portland L Portland will be without a good player, which means that the Rockets will underestimate them and get blown out. 24 Mon @ L.A. Clippers L The Rockets never win in Los Angeles against the Clippers. All their athletic dunkers automatically shoot jumpers perfectly, and Francis ALWAYS shoots poorly there. 26 Wed @ Utah L The Rockets will join the list of losers that can't beat one of the worst NBA rosters of all time. 28 Fri @ Sacramento L The Rockets just don't win in Sacramento. 29 Sat @ Seattle L The Rockets are 3-5 in games I attend. The Sonics never miss against the Rockets at the Key. Not looking good... I have based this prediction on the Rockets of years past. At the start of this season, I thought things would change, but the loss to Toronto destroyed my optimism. A team with as much talent as Houston should go 5-1 in this stretch, only losing to Sacramento, but it just won't happen.
In defense of Train, the Grizzlies were the one team that he slotted ahead of the Rockets in his scandalous "comeback" thread several months ago. (I think. Could be wrong. Just trying to throw you a bone, A-Train).
ZRB is absolutely right... Golden State beat Detroit last week in overtime-Jason richardson is a killer. we will have trouble containing him. I thgink we lose to Golden State. Portland-loss Utah - playing over their head- Rox lose Sacramento - We match up well with them - but Sacamento is a very tough team to defend with 2 suoperb point guards and Peja wreaking havoc on the perimeter-I think we lose Seattle- Playing the best in the NBA right now-we lose Clippers- we can win We come off the road with a 8 and 8 record - about wher everyone expected us to be- mediocre We will be very lucky to make the playoffs IMO -the way Seattle and Golden State look playing right now - they both have better teams
Ouch man, I really hope your forecast is wrong. I'll play the optimist and say the Rockets go 4-2 over the next six losing to Sac and the Clippers.
First of all, we have to beat GS. I think we should take 2 of the 5 games. That would make us 10-6 after the most difficult road trip of the season right? Anyway, if we HAVE to lose 3, I hope they lose the first 3 on the road. This way, they'll learn how to deal with losing consecutive games, will get their asses wooped, and it's on the road so it won't affect attendance too much - especially since they would win the last 2. I'm guessing we can beat the Clippers, and one of Portland, Utah or Seattle.
Don't be so sure about the Clips, we always are getting into trouble with them and they are playing good ball right now!
