this is what every special prosecutor does, goes way beyond their mandate and starts an open-ended investigation with no limits on time/scope/budget, eventually issuing indictments for things that had nothing to do with the original stated intent (election hacking, Russia collusion with campaign)

    the Deep State is real

btw, word is Mueller is looking into Trump finances... including those unconnected to the election. I am betting tax returns, and lots of Trump's shady financial dealings will be exposed. This won't be something Trump will want to come out... I am pretty sure he resigns to avoid that (even more than any charge of collusion).

What I can’t figure out is why Mueller hasn’t embraced Tex and Bobby’s expert legal analysis on this matter. I mean they’re “nothing to see here” perspective is so compelling. The fact that Mueller has convened a grand jury and is issuing subpoenas as he keeps insisting on “connecting the dots” in the Russia investigation really makes me question his judgement.

And lucky for that Deep State, the republicans elected the perfect fall guy. One with shady financial dealings (including with Russians) and a willingness to engage with Putin in secret and in the open. That deep state really scored!

Seriously, do you think that if Ted Cruz, or John Kasich, or Jeb Bush, or Mario Rubio had beaten Hillary we would be having this conversation right now? Or is the Deep State only gunning for The Donald?

This one - https://fivethirtyeight.com/feature...e-probably-on-a-collision-course-over-russia/ - you're/it's right in that they'r enot being absolute and total pushovers/aiders & abettors with respect to Russia, especially compared to the House & Devin Nunes' sham investigation.

But 1) they're kind of doing the minimum and 2) what about the non-Russia stuff?

The fake Voter Fraud commission, the enthroning of white supremacy as a policy position, the abandonment of the State department, modern day presidential Twitter - I could go on and on and on - Trump is a malignant influence on pretty much everything he touches, regardless of his Russian taintedness.

What an idiotic tweet. Why post that? Meuller hasn't been investigating for a year. Go back and check the date he was appointed.

I just saw someone on television bring up a good point. Trump lies all the time and he can't seem to help it. If he testifies before the Grand Jury, is there any way he isn't going to perjure himself? The guy lies as a habit and nearly every time he opens his mouth. When testifying before a Grand Jury it is under oath, and his lawyer won't be allowed in the room with him.

I just don't see how he gets out of it without committing perjury on top of whatever else they find.

On a separate note, I want to acknowledge some Republicans who are finally standing up to Donald Trump. Even Mitch McConnell ended the Senate session in a non-recess mode so that Donald can't fire Sessions, replace him, and then have Mueller fired. McCain finally puts action to his criticism of Trump and voted against the Skinny Repeal as did a couple of other Republicans. Good for these guys.

Why? All of those are directly related to Trump's ties with Russia, which was the whole point of the investigation.
