i'm not saying i don't want to see more scoring, but the fact of the matter is that our defense is light years ahead of the offense. we are winning the way we are capable of right now. i think once we are at full strength and the players continue to work on running the offense the way the coaches want, we'll see our scoring improve. i just don't want to hear all the belly-aching when we are doing so well given all the injuries, off-the-court problems and the transition of adjusting to a new coaching staff. did anyone expect a perfect record to this point? we are in first place you know.
Just didn't want you to get pacified into thinking that our "defense" is all that it will take (All these comments about, "Hey, we're winning and that's all that matters.") <---Bandwaggon fans say that! When we are losing they are no were to be found. Games like the last one are the ones we would have lost in the past. So, yes. Our defense is a safety net for those "off nights." But lets not fool ourselves, either. We're not as good as we think. The offense HAS to improve, or else. We'll have a good record, but get thumped by better teams that play both defense and offense.
Well, the difference is that I pay to see a spectacle, a show that must enjoy me. So, if we win but the team don't give any show, I will go home knowing we have won, but no very happily. The first objetive is win, ok. And I will go home happy if ONE DAY we don't make the shots, but we win. That can suceed someday, not often. That's what I'm saying. I repeat: I hope Mo Taylor can repair our offense notably, because now the defenders are closed to Yao, and he's the key of our game. With Taylor the defenders won't do this anymore, because Taylor can make perfectly 20 points if nobody is with him, Cato not. So one player will catch Mo and one player will catch Yao, and that's = more Yao points, better oportunities, better shots... The fastbreaks worry me. We need more.
