Not super old, but I remember Capela missed a bunch of free throws in a row and took a long damn time to get his first NBA points.
They were great. As a kid I remember listening to basically every home game on the radio. The best catchphrase of course was always the passionately yelled "BLOCKED BY OLAJUWON" which seemingly happened 25 times per game. To get back to the initial topic though, I fondly remember Pete Chilcutt and Chris Jent fighting to show the world that they were on Kyle Wiltjer's level.
I remember Derrick Chievous being an odd bird. He would always wear a band aid. That was HIS thing. No cuts. Just wore a band aid on his leg. Didn't 'stick around' long (pun intended)
I believe you are referring to Jack Marin. I think I remember the stain being mainly on his neck and arm.
i had a rockets ball signed by oscar torres at the subway by westside tennis club when they practiced over there
I remember Zan Tabak in his first game (must have been preseason). They had his name misspelled on the back of his jersey. Instead of TABAK, it said TADAK. I think after the first half they put athletic tape through the D to make is a B. I knew he wasn't going to last long at that point.
