Yeah I think that the spurs have a real weakness with their slow front court guys in gasol and Aldridge. They remind me of how the mavs had a weakness with their slow guys in amare and dirk. I think it will be fun to see all the different pick and roll combos when melo gets here. It's just a waiting game right now.

Umm, just because you're not into the nightlife doesn't mean they wouldn't want to go to Miami. The city is still a great place to be without the strip/night clubs.

Yall realize most of these star athletes got private jets so location is never really the first parameter in joining a team, unless you don't give a **** about bball

Your comprehension level definitely affected this conversation. I said IF (huge if) there wasn't such turmoil in the entire country of Venezuela i.e. the NYK franchise I would love to go back home.

But SINCE there is, that's not going to happen... hence where Kyrie's head SHOULD be.... but it AIN'T in his flat ass world.

    Does that make sense?

I am envisioning the following personally:
    - Harden/CP3 runs an elbow pick and roll with Capela/Nene/Black
    - Melo sets a second pick at the top of the key right after
    - Harden/CP3 hands off to Melo who runs reverse to him
    - Capela/Nene/Black shifts over to set a pick for Melo
    - At this time, Melo can burst past the opposing center to set the following; alley oop to Capela/Nene/Black, pull up for a midrange, or drive to the rim

All of a sudden there's a possibility that Carmelo Anthony Scarmucci is available. Washington just waived him.

Seems like you keep confusing yourself here. You keep saying IF... not WILL. Last time I checked, IF =/= WILL. You are only wanting to go home when things suit your demands. Irving however, is currently WILLing to go back home. To be fair though, Irving would be going from one poor team situation to another while getting a major city upgrade, not a region plagued by political turmoil.

Does THAT make sense to you? Honestly, it's not a hard concept to understand, hence my puzzlement with your struggles about this.

ummm yes it could be a reason. a player can go their anytime they want. they don't have to play for miami to be in that city, just like how many players have offseason homes in various other cities including houston. miami the city itself can very much be a distraction and players have acknowledged that

Just F5'd the Astros forum for an hour, didn't think I could be more disappointed than the Melo saga... I was wrong. This trade needs to happen to get me over it.

I see J.R. as the latest poster in a thread and click as if there's an "update" (be it a b.s. tweet from Joe Insider Jerkoff or whatever) and get this?

    I am disappoint. :(

For the latest, turn into TheIrvingShow. When it concludes we will return to regularly scheduled broadcasting of TheMeloDrama.

Ain't no updates to be had. ;)

We're in a holding pattern. Nothing is imminent.

Oops, I might have just done it again: a post with no updates. :p

@J.R. should be banned from posting anything but an update until this whole mess is over.

Sorry JR, gotta take one for the team.

Nothing is imminent? Every quasi-insider with 200 followers on Twitter has said otherwise.

Is this the highest page numbers we ever had on a thread?
