I have never seen an uglier game than this one. Well, I guess winning uglier games is 10 times better than losing a well-played game. Also, it is nice to know Rockets defense is good enough to carry them to wins even though the offense totally stunked.

Any road win is a good win. Fugly or not, we are still sitting in first place.

If we can win games while in a shooting slump, gravy, all the better for when we start hitting those shots.

I don't care if we average 70 points a game if the opponent only averages 60. That's going to translate into a lot of wins. Offense schmoffense. It is defense that wins.

With Mo coming back Wednesday and Pike soon to be activated, things all is well. I think both of these guys will help provide that extra scoring punch when others are throwing up bricks.

Let's not forget we just held Iverson to 15 points, which is half his game average.

    Go Rockets.

Yao has averaged about 5-6 Offensive Rebounds in the past 3 games, atleast in my mind that is a good sign of playing more aggressive.

And I'll take an ugly win over a beautiful lost anyday, as long as we learn and play better the next.

    -G'day-

the refs are holding yao in check. i think yao wants to be more aggressive but everytime he does a power move, the refs calls offensive foul on him. he's a big boy, he can easily knock someone over if he really wants to but i think he's being careful. if i was yao, i would go out and do it a couple of times just to get the feel of it. but i also think that he doesn't really wanna hurt anybody since he's such a nice guy. you see ppl out there slapping him on the face, scratching him, poking his eyes and he doesn't really say anything or get angry. he just soldiers it. in this day and age, especially in the nba, i kinda admire his professionalism.

I think Yao needs to confront the referee, like the way Rasheed Wallace does. So if he gets a few technicals, big deal. At least he can let the referee know it's not his fault entirely.

Referee are human and can be biased. When Shaq's 340-lb body bangs into other people's chest, the defenders have not choice but to push back on Shaq a bit, then it's always the defenders' fault. But when Yao tries to do the similar thing, by banging his 310-lb body into the defender, it's Yao's fault. Hm...

As much as I enjoy seeing the fancy fingerRoll from the skill perspective, I would rather see him with a dunk from the power perspective.
