Haha. He will be riding the pine most of the time. He is an insurance policy and victory cigar. He may play 1 or 2 min here and there as a filler. Not a bad job description.

What's wrong with that though? Worried about game continuity? I woudln't be so concerned about that. I think first to go out would be the person you want running second unit in 2nd quarter. I'm guessing maybe that would be Paul? So you have Paul come out after 6 minutes, then go back in 4 minutes later (Harden goes out), play the last 2 minutes of first quarter, and first 4 of second, Harden comes back in and plays the rest of the quarter, Paul comes back with 4 minutes left. That's 16 minutes for Paul in first half, averaging out to 32. Same for Harden...

Huge Thanks to Mr. Leslie Alexander. Bringing two championships and the HOF's to town.

Les has been a great owner. The best ever in Houston history. He also brought several other HOFers to town. Barkley, Quitten, Yao, TMac...

Confusion and fluidity? I hate to see two different HoF PGs running the show in chops. maybe that's just me.

I see nothing wrong with doing that. Throwing different (and extremely potent) looks and pace at defenses is always effective.

Exactly Bobby ain't making the HOF for his play, but rather for his overall contributions to the game. Same as Yao.

and this is why MDA is an idiot....

"...could lead to some great things, like we'll always have a HOF pg on the floor for 48 mins..."

just like last year... when he was still running starters with 5-6 mins left - and a 20+ pt cushion...

This guy has a rep for runnin guys into the ground... any wonder guys run out of gas? lol

I hear you. I'm so far removed from my basketball playing games I can't even begin to appreciate how long of playing segments are necessary for a player to get his flow. Is 6 minutes long enough? Does playing 2 at the end of a quarter and then 4 to start the next make things weird? I have no idea.

TBH, it's a good problem to have. I can't remember there is another team having two PGs of such calibers. It will be progress and adjustment. As someone also mentioned, Dantoni's rotation distribution tends to be rigid. So we will see.

Also, Harden has a ton to learn from CP3 on how to run point. Sweet sweet for his growth in that department.

But the key message is great players who WANT to play together and make it work.

How did Bobby Brown enter the Hall of Fame?

By hanging out with Hakeem during his induction a few years ago.

It really boggles my mind how any coach can say that even with the roster turnover and getting a guy like CP3 he makes a statement about playing the same way as last year?! You'd think he's excited to add a lot of new plays, see first how CP3 and players mesh before saying this. You'd think even a dumb coach would understand the need for change based on our playoff production on top getting CP3..am I the only one??

Basketball is not like football where you install a bunch of new "gadget and trick plays".

MDA has a system and some sets that he runs and based on the defense, the offense reads and reacts to what they see.
