    More versatile defenders that can guard multiple positions. Bev is a good defender but he can guard 1 position. The guys we picked up can guard 3-4 positions.

    Our offense stumbled badly in the postseason though. Yes defense is the priority but diversifying our offense is almost as important.

    And that is why we got a player who is not only the best PG in the league, but also the best midrange shooter. If that's not diversity, I don't know what is.

    This off-season really has been brilliant. Upgrade Beverley to a HOF point guard. Losing guys like Dekker, Lou, and Montrez in a vacuum sucks, but in reality, although they are all legit NBA players they were not a good fit for this team. We need the bench guys to be all-switch everything defensive studs that can hit the 3 or a good rim-runner. Tucker-MABOOTY-Black are a hand in glove fit to what they're trying to do. With or without Melo, this could be the Rockets first 60-win season.

    Won't be a problem now. Imagine Game 5 vs the Spurs with Chris Paul running the show down the stretch. No way in the hell do the Rockets lose that game.

    With CP3 your offense gets better automatically and with defense we can now at least be decent at stopping teams. A line-up of CP3, Tucker, Ariza, Mbah and Capela / Nene. Oh boy, better watch out!

    I agree with y'all. I made the comment mainly because some people have been saying "the offense is already good, Rockets need defense" in response to our acquisition of Paul and pursuit of Anthony.

    Our offense was unstoppable as long as the following held true:
    - Beard doesn't run out of gas
    - 2 or more of our shooters get hot

    The second part usually held true and adding CP3 only helps with that. Unfortunately for us, Beard DID run out of steam.

    You guys think Dream will be able to sit court side with the new owner as he did with Leslie Alexander during home games? Or is that 'comp' over?
