    Thank god, playing a 13 year, 32 year old vet 35 minutes was ridiculous, I hope his minutes drop around 28 mpg this season.

    I wonder how much Carmelo Anthony will like to guard opposing PF or be guarded by them.

    All the available data says that playing PF would give a guy like Melo (and his team) a big boost offensively. However, going against bigger guys also exacts a physical toll and even LeBron doesn't enjoy it.

    My guess is Nanu gets one more year of seasoning. He's only 20, so I would assume the Rockets knew he was a long term project, not the kind of guy you give up on after a year. I think Oliver is out, but Taylor could be traded (with Ryno) or cut if the Rockets get one more vet PG.

    I think Oliver gets cut and the 300k is to play and develop with the RGV Vipers. Taylor looks like a 2-way. There is also the possibility that Onuaku is traded in the Melo deal creating another spot.

    The Troy Williams signing now has Houston with 13 guaranteed contracts. The Rockets have $115M in guaranteed money and are $4M below the luxury tax and $10M below the hard cap. The Rockets also have five players on partial/non-guaranteed contracts.

    Troy has big time 3/D potential. Long, super athletic, and good shot mechanics. Jumper just needs to develop.
