With all the uncertainty surrounding this Melo situation, I'd say that his ability to play the game at an extremely high level is the least uncertain factor.
Yall remember when T-Whack's trainer, Tim Grover. kept saying the same thing about him. Not saying this is one in the same, but I dont give a damn what personal trainers say or are paid to say.
McGrady's trainer was the same dude he had since high school so all his bad habits were never corrected. When he got with Tim Grover —after the knee surgery —was the first time he'd start training his core but by that time it was too late. His body had taken the damage. So while he might have been in great shape, his athleticism was shot and his confidence followed.
Buyout is the only possible solution I don't think Andersons contract is attractive to teams around the league and if that is not the case I don't see third or fourth parties helping the Rockets getting another superstar especially in the Western conference.
This is clearly working on the footwork and mechanics of the floater and push shot. No point in doing it at game speed if you have funky mechanics.
I will be honest, there is no way I would let EG get in the way of securing Carmelo...If that what it takes I would do it in a heart beat for sake of getting Melo right this moment...The only reason I would do it, I honestly dont trust EG's health at all, I think we lucked out last year.. The longer this takes, I really worry about Carmelo having some kind of change of heart..You have to do this NOW, while he's motivated to come here...
No one is worse at this than Melo. He needs to professionally get into better shape, not just be better than his worst offseason. I hope this isn't all he's doing.
