I felt the exact same way when I heard about the possibility of Melo coming here.
    But, I'm now on board and here's why. . . . . .CP3

    1) CP is coming here with full expectation to run MDA's offense and system.
    2) Seeing how Melo is coming here primarily for CP and James, I'm a believer that
he will be on board the MDA train this time. CP is too fiery to let Melo (or James) loaf and gum up the works.
    3) Melo may not have listened to MDA in NY, but he'll listen to CP.
    4) Melo won't be the #1 star in this show. He won't be the primary ball handler and demand his shots. Different dynamics than in NY.
    5) Last year proved that MDA's (Coach of the Year) system can be deadly with the right personnel
    6) And finally, all 3 of them will have tremendous pressure to win games and be a juggernaut.
If NOT, they will be an embarrassment. The NBA will be watching and expectations will be high
I'm all for giving it a shot. Would be exciting to say the least

We will have a great bench, Anderson last year might have been a "one off", He may play great for us this year. I don't really care if we get him at this point. If we have to give up any rotation players to get Melo I would rather just keep Ryan, he might have a great year with our new players around him. It is all confidence hopefully he is addressing that this off season somehow.

Winning games changes players attitudes. I think Houston will be a better experience than in New York.

HOWEVER, when Melo went down injured for a month or so in NY, that is when
LInsanity happened. Melo was sidelined and watching JLin put up 30 pts/game.
Knicks went on a tear winning about 75% of their games for that stretch by running MDA's system.
Then Melo comes back and everything implodes.
They were winning games and making noise UNTIL Melo came back. You would think he would want to continue the winning ways.
Melo single-handedly destroyed the MDA offense and got MDA run out of NY.
There are legitimate concerns about Melo in HOU. But I think the dynamics are different with CP and James on the team.
    At least I'm hoping so.

    7) most important in my mind, Melo is older and presumably more mature. Nothing like life kicking you around a bit to give you a new way to look at things. When Melo forced his way out of Denver he was young and the future was his. Now he is re-habing his image and worried about his legacy. Oh, and as the article points out, D'antonie was right. Melo has to know that by now.

The questioning of validity is getting so old already. As if they've already been united, played together for years and tensions are coming to a head!

Carmelo knows what's up. He's coming here to be 3rd fiddle. He's coming here to be team USA Melo. Sharpshooter, floor spacer Melo. Occasional post up Melo.

I could just as easily write an article, based in reality no less, about how this team could have 3 guys averaging 25 or more points a game. Without even mentioning how many lobs Capela will get, the reigning 6th man or Ariza in the corner...this could easily be projected to be one of the most efficient, deadliest offenses ever. Where's THAT end of the spectrum in national media land?
